that is one of the worst response times i have ever seen. On the toneout, dispatcher stated multiple victims. Yet this station takes their time walking to the rigs, one of the medics even texting and being on her damn phone instead of loading up the squad. Im a retired firefighter/paramedic with over 26 years of experience. If we would have ever done this stupidity and laziness in responding, we would have lost our jobs. Lives depend on responders responding quickly, not standing around checking their phone

Just my opinion, I am a medic and we are expected to be responding and out of the station within 45 seconds during the day and 90 seconds at night after 11 pm. Very slow response. If a person dies and this video shows a 2+ minute response to just start rolling and you might as well get out the check book.

Richard Babb WELL, I HEAR YA MY FRIEND! IN NEW YORK CITY THEY ARE TO RESPOND IN THE FIRST 1 OR 2 MINUTES! THANKS SO MUCH RICHARD! ;o)
@lauriestlyon877310 жыл бұрын
As an ex RAF Fireman 2.5 mins from alarm to actually rolling seems snail pace! We were expected to be on scene and fighting the fire well within that time as worked on the assumption we only had 3 minutes from impact to total loss of life. But then aviation fuel burns hot and fast! Like to see the US trucks nice kit. Thing I have found speaking to Firefighters from different countries is that the kit and faces change but the heart never does! Good vid.

2 minute response time after the call is toned out. 2 minutes!!! Not one firefighter even looked to be in a rush. One was texting on the phone. Really, 2 minutes to roll out of the station during the day time hours!! Sad! And yes I am a medic and have been for 30 years, so I know what good and bad response times look like.

Hey, you were down in my neck of the woods. If I had a dime for every MVA on Blue Hole Road I could buy the NFD a new truck. As it is, rumor has it that the FAST medic suburbans may be mothballed due to budget cuts. Anyway, I'm glad you made it down here. I hope you enjoyed your stay.
