Max Schreck's performance as Orlok in the original silent version of Nosferatu was so unnerving that some people thought he was a real vampire. That urban legend is the basis of Shadow of The Vampire (2000).

Great picks. Terrifier 3 and Oddity were my personal favourites although I have yet to see The Substance. Stop Motion was a great film, I’m not sure if you’ve seen it but did you know the Stop Motion director: Robert Morgan, made a short film based on Basketcase? It’s called Belial’s dream and is well worth watching. Look forward to more videos in 2025.

I liked Egger's Nosferatu also, especially that he used the 'Mernau' names like Orlok, Hutter, etc. That being said, I preferred the 79 version...nobody can out-creepy Klaus Kinski. P.S. thank you for the 'if it's not for them' statement. I am not a fan of the Terrifier series or most trash cinema, Troma films especially...but I can understand why so many others are. And that's cool. Happy New Year's and keep up the great work!

Longlegs was the reason I started going to the theaters again after years of not. I’m in the camp that neither loved it nor hated it. I thought it was good, but not very good. Had it not been for the last 10 minutes, I probably would have a more favorable opinion of it.

The original Speak No Evil was one of the best horror films to come out that year. You should check it out. It's cool because it approaches the horror film from a different angle, so at first it sort of seems like a comic premise designed to making you feel uncomfortable. I thought it was really clever and creative. The Coffee Table is another example of a recent film that did this, but in a different way.

Good 2024 review...can't get into the Terifier movies the over the top violence and gore does not appeal to me anyway I always enjoy your videos of 2024 New Years blessings to you and your family 🎉

Please don't skip on Smile 2 and The First Omen, they are both great horror movies of 2024. I'm sure both of them or either one of them would've sure made your list if you have seen them before you make your top 10 video. The First Omen is even slightly better than Immaculate in my opinion. Also Smile 2 is a must watch. Even if you still skip The First Omen due to it's very similar promise to Immaculate, please don't skip on Smile 2 atleast🙏other than that great video, amazing list.

Can you review Jeepers Creepers? I know it has baggage due to the director, but it is a film that i and many horror fans grew up with and love. If not, that's fine, and i understand why you wouldn't. If you can't review Jeepers Creepers, then fan you give a full review of Terrifier 1 and 2? P.S. i hope 2025 will be a successful year for both you and me 😉

I once weighed 384 lbs. That is a LOT to be ashamed of...about 200 very ugly pounds of shame. Not to mention the heart attack in front of my daughters that came with all that ugly shame...

But did you still deserve to be treated like a human being when you were that weight? The answer is yes. It's great that you lost that weight, and you are healthy now. And people should try to be healthier. But there are a lot of people out there who treat overweight people like subhumans because of their weight. Even when they are trying to get a healthier body, they are still fat shamed. Same thing with older people just because they have become "victims" of the aging process like we all will. Being comfortable enough with your naked body is nothing to be ashamed of. That's the point of my statement. I admire movies that are not afraid to show off body types that would be considered "unflattering" to those that have such a high standard of beauty. Congratulations for losing that weight. It can be hard to start on such a journey.

@TheManiac666 true, we should all be given the respect of basic humanity. My issue is the people who inflict these conditions on themselves(as I did, my sins are my own) and then repeat the modern lie that it's not their fault...even worse when they demand to be seen as healthy & beautiful, or else! How dare we judge!? P.S. I completely agree with you on the Hollywood 'standard' of beauty and age. It's ludicrous...but then again, it's all fantasy.

@@hankw69 While it is true that there are people who put themselves in a bad situation regarding health, we don't know what someone's situation is. We can't deny that healthier foods, gym memberships, health programs, and the like are very expensive. Someone who has little money or has to work two to three jobs to put food on the table might not have time to go to the gym. Plus, someone's exterior is not always accurate to their health. There are skinnier people who suffer from eating disorders. There are people who look ripped and jacked, but they suffer from a thing called exercise bulimia. Or they have used steroids which is giving them muscles but destroying their body. Meanwhile there are people of a bigger size that exercise every day, do their best to eat healthy, but still have a bigger body type. Which one is seen as having more value? The one's who look skinny and fit the "healthy narrative." I do pole fitness and there are many different body types that are all strong and healthy. There are bigger women that are able to do incredible things on the pole that took me a long time to learn how to do. And they have so much confidence despite not having the typical gym body. There's a fitness instructor on Instagram James_Coppola who puts all of this into perspective. Highly recommend checking him out. He's a good guy.

I really enjoyed Nosferatu the Vampire 1979 this version seems a bit underrated to me, really looking forward to seeing the new version! Probably seen all of the different versions, and Hammer Dracula films. All awesome but the original Nosferatu is probably my favourite.

I love a good body horror movie, so to me The Substance is #1, but I also love Terrifier 3 and Art the Clown. Alien Romulus is amazing as well as Smile 2 that you did't see and Heretic is great too,

Can't really disagree with this list. The Subsistence was my favorite for this year but some of that comes from my appreciation of it's visual style and it's 'subtilty is for cowards' storytelling. What makes something your favorite is very personal.

Skip the remake of Speak No Evil. U will feel frustrated the entire movie. Not ONE SINGLE logical decision was made by the main characters. Watch the First Omen and Smile 2 instead

I will definitely check Stopmotion out but I'm a body horror fan and I don't like Substance at all because it failed for me as a independent movie and everything is just a copy even characters have no sense of actual people everything is just plastic and numb to care about them.
