Manila lights up for Christmas as festive season begins
Colorful lights and shiny decorations have begun adorning Manila, the capital region of the Philippines with 16 interlocked cities, as it gears up for the upcoming Christmas festivities.
The Philippines typically starts celebrating the Christmas season from as early as September, with Christmas music being played at malls and public places, before festivities gradually culminate in December.
Christmas is a major celebration for the Philippines with over 80 percent of its population practicing the Catholic faith.
