Eto ang mga problema ng pinas kaya konti lang ang mga foreign tourists at hindi sila nagtatagal sa ating bansa: 1. Rampant Corruption in government and public. 2. Very very very few modern infrastructures. 3. No modern transportation 4. No modern airport 4. Mahina or walang internet 5. Nawawalan ng kuryente (brownout) 5. Mahina or nawawalan or walang tubig 6. Nakawan at kikilan sa NAIA airport 7. EXPENSIVE accomodations 8. Maraming patayan, kriminal, nakawan, mandurukot, snatchers, kidnappers , drug addicts at mga pushers 9. Mga ganid na taxi at tricycle drivers over-charging/scamming foreign tourists 10. Mga basura or litters sa kalye at mga bangketa. Mga pinoy wala talagang disiplina. Kahit saan tayo nagtatapon ng mga basura/ litters natin. 11. Pati sa mga beach, dagat, gubat at bundok may mga basura din..mga plastic bottles, plastik supot, wrappers at kung ano ano pang mga litter/garbage. 12. Mga illegal vendors sa kalsada/bangketa, may vendor din sa gitna ng badian canyon, panglao sandbar at mga bangkang vendor sa dagat ng el nido at coron. Kaya madumi at maraming mga basura sa ating mga kapaligiran at kalikasan. MAGTINDA KAYO SA TAMANG LUGAR. 13. Illegal squatters, street dwellers and beggars everywhere, particularly children asking money from foreigners. Tapos sasabihin natin "Its more fun in the Phlippines" ??? Nakakahiya ! Tourism will boost our local economy kasi foreigners spend money in our country which helps our local business to earn more. The local and national government MUST do something to solve/fix these problems.

@tradcatholic17 Yes, seems very strange to us Westerners. Living in the Philippines exposes you to an all new way of life. I'm originally from the UK but lived in Dubai, Istanbul and nie Philippines. Both countries do not celebrate Christmas. Seeing as I live Christmas, being in the Philippines is fantastic.

Hi , Elena. If you are staying for Christmas in the Philippines, I suggest you find a Filipino home to celebrate Christmas Eve with. Any family will gladly accept you. In fact, you can also just wander around on December 24 and if you are lucky, which is very likely, a family will invite you and celebrate with them. Filipino families tend to invite a foreigners over during celebrations especially Christmas because they know that it could feel lonely celebrating holidays alone sometimes.

I've been living and working different countries but only in The Philippines the best Christmas 🎄 season ever. You can feel the Christmas Spirit started by the Month of September until New Year. Only in the Philippines, a tradition, a yearly events when calendar falls in BER months, celebrating Xmas with no others can compete/compare anywhere worldwide... We, pinoy Christmas starts on the Sept 1st ended Jan 6th... Do note, last week of August, its time start buying Xmas decors or symbols, why? When, BER months start, prices/cost for Xmas goods also gradually going up and mostly in Nov and Dec... Christmas season in the Philippines it's 4months and 6days to be exact...

Chowking's Halo-halo is one of the best in town. Our Christmas celebration starts on Sept 1 and end on 1st week of January, it is the longest celebrated season in the Philippines. Old and young starts their caroling after All Saint's Day & All Soul's Day (Nov 1 & 2) singing Christmas carols from one house to another and receives money mostly coins from the household.
