I think, compared to most of the performers on this list, Kurt and Dave are too technically deficient in one or not both of their musical roles. Not dissing either of them, I'm a huge fan of Nirvana and I like some Megadeth stuff, but I don't think most people would consider Cobain one of the greatest singers or guitarists ever, while Mustaine's voice is understandably hard for some to take.

I have my reservations about George Harrison's ranking on this list, though arguably the most iconic one here behind Jimi Hendrix, I think there is a little Beatles bias in this list. While absolutely a great songwriter and good singer-guitarist, I don't think he surpasses the singing and playing complexity and talent of Metallica's James Hetfield, who is a riff master and one of the greatest singers in rock history and also the frontman and primary songwriter of the most famous metal band ever. I really think he should've at least been #2 behind David Gilmour of course. Make no mistake, George Harrison absolutely deserves a place on this list, not because of his singing and playing abilities( by that metric, he wouldn't even crack Top 500 ) but he was a part of the greateat band in history, but just a bit lower maybe #10 or #9. It's my opinion of course, my list would've looked something like: 1. David Gilmour 2. James Hetfield 3. Jimi Hendrix 4. Eric Clapton 5. Mark Knopfler 6. Stevie Ray Vaughan 7. Robert Smith 8. Prince 9. Chuck Berry 10. B.B. King

The only thing with Hendrix is that I don't really consider him a singer. I know he sings but he isn't known for his singing and honestly it isn't great. I love it in the context of his music but it's not really meant to be amazing vocals.
