I never get sick of listening to Cem. Absolutely phenomenal. Even with the jargon that’s hard to follow at times , always come away having learned something.

Wow I finally understand the dynamics of why VIX rises when stocks fall and VIX falls when stocks rise due to the volatility skew of SPX/SPY and the concept of fixed strike volatility. I don't think every listener got that realization though ;) Thanks for the great interview with Cem!

my interpretation (as a non options trader) was that high volatility means units should hold a smaller book. But once uncertain events pass the dampening down in volatility expands books again causing a rally.

I subscribed to KEDM and the newsletter etc. Follow a few very successful traders, take the suggestions that you are comfortable with, size wisely, and it's pretty much a guarantee you'll make some really good trades. Both Cem and Kuppy are both very successful, and I will be listening closely to their ideas.

Cem's comments about distribution validation for trade setups are a real gem. I recommend coming back to it after your first listen. My first run I only understood a small fraction of what he said.

Addendum. Cem Karsan great, first heard him on Meb Faber's podcast. Some of the financial jargon makes a few parts hard to follow, but appreciate the translation to layman's terms by Patrick and Kevin.

i recommend doing a first casual listen (maybe play in background as you do other things). Then do a second listen and this time pause and take notes if you have to. Remember: Don't expect to get 100% out of every session. Even if you extract 1%, that's still an improvement and it accumulates over time. Good videos I flag and revisit again and again over time.

What's interesting is comparing an hour chart of GROW 10Apr 2021 and the chart of st joe here in the video, virtually the same pattern.

I think this man should write a short clear book. There is a need to find a way to have an experienced trader explain this with a minimum of jargon...

My learning from this podcast: I probably shouldn't even try to trade stocks. It's like a little leaguer trying to play in the majors. I can't even understand 99% of what Mr. Karsan is saying. I suspect Warren Buffett's advice is better suited for most of us.

Yeah don't get discouraged this episode is fairly advanced. The main thing that helped me was just thoroughly understanding the basics and the jargon.

My layman's tip for podcasts/ webcasts in general: when the expert moderator gets lost by the guests explanations, it's probably gonna confuse the hell out of the rest of us!

Kevin, dude...love ya, but for the love of Jeebus, let the man talk. Some of us are following Cem as he's talking here, and the more you interrupt the more you deprive us of benefiting from his knowledge. Thx, be well.
