You asked for BT player's opinions. The rules are the best we've had since I started playing back in late 5th edition. For a while, GW was really cutting out the soul of the army - it felt like we were on the way out. Faith & Fury was the book that made BT not just viable again - it made the army feel like it's supposed to. While I wish it was a tad more powerful, marine armies are good in general. While it isn't the most competitive marine army, it's still good. It's a dream years in the waiting. I like the list. While I have long given up on the Land Raider or crusader squads, this looks like it would be fun.

Indomitus is perfect for Primaris Black Templars, from both a thematic and practical point of view. And for the BT, I actually would recommend many of those units. Beyond it I would take some of your intercessors and convert them into assault intercessors so you have something that looks like this from your Indomitus collection. Captain + Lieutenant Assault Intercessor squad x2 + Intercessor squad Judiciar + Blade Guard Vets + Blade Guard Ancient Outrider squad Eradicator squad From there I would fill out the list with transports, since you are have mostly primaris that would be impulsors or repulsors (if you want more heavy weapon support) And Dreadnoughts, dealers choice.

@@WhatThe40k from what I have the indomitus set up is 1k. That box gives me 2 squads of assault intercessors or a squad of ten and them around with the chaplain. The deathwatch collection box Converts to 2 sword brethren squads A venerable Dreadnaught And Artemis which will be designated as emperors champion till I get the actual one. 2 boxes of 10 intercessors. Which I can convert to assault intercessors just need to get the bits.

The Red Grief?! The Wych Cult? If I did a thematic list build for the Drukhari it would definitely be for either a wych cult or coven list. I think its likely we see a Drukhari a codex in the new year, so it may come sooner than you think. 😄

Black Templar collector and player here. Not bad at all. I was pleasantly surprised to see 1st born marines being used as opposed to an all out replace marines list. I have everything you suggested with the exception of the landraider and the primaris launge. Also, I totally agree with the idea that replace marines should be rolled into the crusader squads to give the BT more flavor. On the other hand I might drop the ancient in favor of the EC and the transports in favor of more boot in the ground, but that just me. Besides, I don't have those vehicles, lol.

Its probably not in the cards to be honest. I've added it to my list of requested armies though for what its worth. I am seeing the core chapters through and I will probably do a necron list or 2, and after that I have a long cue of projects that I need to tackle first.

Could you please make tutorial how to pain Primaris Intecessors or vehicles for Salamanders. I saw your Adarax, Dreadhnaught and Inceptors but you use different techniques each time and I am new and I want one consistent technique for whole army. Without airbrush if you can please.

Funnily enough those are the techniques I use across my whole salamander army, the Inceptors in that video being the exception. For the infantry they receive a similar treatment to Adrax, and for the vehicles, like my Repulsor/landraider they are done as shown in the dreadnought video.

Good question! I don't think he is bad, probably better than ever. I just was quite torn in deciding on what to do for the Black Templars. I wanted to feature some of their first born exclusive units, but I also wanted to feature the Indomitus range, since they are a great fit. It resulted in not having enough points to squeeze him in there. - So if you want the Champ in the list I would drop the chief apothecary.

It’s also worth keeping in mind that the emperors champion is an HQ unit, where as the Judiciar fills a similar role but is in the elite slot. I take mine about every time. Slip him with a Crusader squad in a Razorback and have it sneak behind enemy lines while the big scary land raider crusader is moving up the board, and he’s going to assassin’s creed an enemy daemon prince without breaking a sweat. The only thing I have ever seen him fail to kill in one turn of combat was the custodies general dude.

@@foxie2coolNo. I don't think it would provide the value you are looking for. Unfortunately it won't really serve as a list builder, in the same sense as something like battlescribe. Presently I create a .csv file for it to read and display the data as specified. So even if I were to publish a public copy, it would only "build" the 1 list in that video 😅

We would be overjoyed with a supplement. Heck, I'd be overjoyed to get lumped into a new IF supplement.

@@WhatThe40k Flesh Tearers were rolled into the Blood Angels supplement, Crimson Fists have always been in the Imperial Fists book, and despite our unique theme, no Second Founding chapter has had their own Codex since BT in 3rd/4th (and I don't recall if they were even mentioned as IF successors back then). While I hope BT proves an exception to the rule, I also remember that Hope is the First Step on the Road to Disappointment.

I like the list but that blasted blue colour scheme is downright damnable! I mean, come on a Ultramarine Land Raider Crusader?! They didn't even get those till like idk a week after the Black Templars did so... I'm slightly miffed about that. Overall great list for my beloved BT maybe fingers crossed we get a codex, as unlikely as it is it will be a welcome one to say the least.

Am i missing something? Using Battle Scribe to remake your list. Im at 2013 points, 9CP PL 105 Batallion, Strike force. The Primaris Apothecary seems to not match in points. Mine is 95, yours is 100. Your Land Raider crusader also seems off in terms of points. %ine is 315 with all your options, while yours is only 295. 0.0

You are totally right. Due to battlescribe not being up-to-date during the production of this video I did the building manually, and it looks like a clerical error slipped past me, while I was working the war gear around to maximize points.😯 Dropping the multi-melta off the land raider does bring the list back down below 2k, and leaves 12 points of wiggle room for smaller upgrades. Sincerely though, thanks for pointing this out. Errors in this particular format are important for me to keep in mind. While it does put a blemish on video/list, and is a bit embarrassing, its valuable, as it will be help me be more thorough in future videos.

Btw, As you suggested, taking out the multimelta, leaves you with a good 10points to spare. I'd either look at giving the razorbacks some Storm Bolters or give both crusader squads an extra power sword. In terms of switching out the paothecary for an emperors champion. Wouldn't it be better to switch out the Judiciar for the champion? As much as i love the Judiciar, the Champion just feels overal a better option, save for the temporal thing. They have the same points cost :p Though i havent exactly looked at possible transport options for him, as he can't fit into the Impulsor. The Cenobytes still seem way too expensive for 20 points (for what is essentially just a boost to a very specific aura/ability and can only be used locally.), i would rather use those 20 to flesh out some wargear here n there, no?

Storm Bolters on the RBs and Power Swords and more power swords on the crusaders are good pics. I was torn between the Judiciar and Emperors champion,😅 if he was taken instead, I think there is a slot open in the land raider... And you're right, the Cenobytes are very niche, but they are a thematic choice and pair to Grimaldus, so I went with it, and as a bonus they are serve a buffer from 1s destroying valuable units in the Land Raider should it be destroyed.

(i even own the Helsreach novel :p ) But their cost has increased to a point where i'm like....not worth it ( i believe they were 3 points earlier?) Good point on the landraider for the E-Champion. Would love to see more takes of the black templars from you. Looks like a solid list :p And i intend to use it some day (when i finally finish enough models :p ) Was surprised that you didn't use any vanguard veterans. Though if for that point bracket you had to make choices, i get why you would lean more towards other choices.

I totally agree. But The Aurillian Shroud has been changed in the Black Templars Index Astartes. Now it only affects **Core** and **Character** within 3" of the bearer.

I wanted to mention that I think an all primaris indomitus list with a few impulsors w/ assault intercessors, a repulsor w/a large blade guard and outriders would actually be much more effective from a crunch point of view. And would still be quite thematic.
