The good thing is that swaps/marshes are very good at preserving items/people/weaponry and vehicles. A beautiful machine.

How they get those Vehicles up and out of those rivers and swamps and then get them cleaned up restored and engine running and getting to move ... amazing! Where do they get spare parts for a vehicle that had been manufactured in 70 years?
@zepter005 жыл бұрын
They search for parts in whole world and when technical documentation for production and service survived with all diameters and shape.... They can make some new one but costs are very big.

It would be nice to learn in detail how they went about restoring it. They would've had to have a LOT of detailed engineering drawings, and access to an extremely well equipped machine shop(s)!!!
@dwightehowell81795 жыл бұрын
In some but not all cases that exists. Since other examples of this machine exists they can laser scan those parts into a computer so they will know what shape to make and testing will tell them what alloy was used but knowing how to properly heat treat them might be a harder issue. Of course knowledgeable people might be able to simply make something they know looks right and is as durable or better than the original.

W zasadzie to pojazd ten wygląda jakby powstał z myślą o paradach wojskowych. Ciężki pojazd półgąsienicowy, jako cabriolet do przewozu osób o ładowności busika. No chyba że wykorzystać go jako ciągnik altyleryjski.

Typical German, massively over-engineered for the task it had to perform. American 6 x 6 trucks were far easier to make, maintain and use.
