it's definitely true what Ralphie May said, he was one of my fav comedians, I even cried when he passed...but I remember watching this whole special, and I just kept looking over at my boyfriend, and I can see him nodding his head...like yep...when he thought I wasn't looking of course, We could be in the middle of a movie or show, and I pause it constantly to tell him shit, that I remembered either throughout the day, or something in the past, and I even said you probably wish I would just shut the hell up, and of course he is like no, I love when you talk, I'm like yeah right. It is true men like to stay calm, and not think about anything, while women always worry about everything that can't even be controlled, or shouldn't even be on their mind...but I always thought about this after Ralphie did this special, and yeah it's totally real...and that is what I loved about him...pure facts!!

I'd definitely say some of what he says applies to my relationship for sure! I constantly think and think about thinking, especially in the morning when I'm waking up and that's at like 5/6AM. But my boyfriend's mind runs just as much as mine does. He never has a look of "thinking about nothing" because his mind is always coming up with ideas. We can never have a moment of silence between the two of us unless we're sleeping or working. If I go quiet, he thinks I'm sad. 🤣 There's plenty of moments I come up with dumb questions sometimes and he'll point out how ridiculous they are. As for sleeping, I can never wake him up in the middle of night, but I can wake up just fine in the middle of the night. 😅

Its not the silence itself that bothers him: Its the anticipation of noise. If there's background noise (TV, movie, music, computer,etc) going on, he's statistically less likely to be interrupted.

Silence and quiet are two different things. Silence is when no one is actively asking your brain to work. Quiet is when there is no noise. I like my silence accented with music while I sand wood works. Peaceful and therapeutic.

I relate to Queen's need for quiet. I guess it's just an introvert/extrovert thing. Introverts recharge by going quiet and decompressing for a while, then they can come back and take more social compression, whereas extroverts need pumping up to get re-energised.
