I think I watched about 8 hrs of your videos the past 4 days hah. It’s my 4th day of volleyball and already such a significant change since 4 days ago. Thank you gentlemen

@@themckibbinbrothers I always thought volleyball was such a cool sport but grew up in an area that it was basically impossible to play. But now I've been in an area where beach volleyball is every where. So now finally get to play it has been more fun than I could have ever imagined. You guys are the best!

This is awesome. Thank you! I think a great addition to your supply of videos would be Dalhausser giving a tutorial about the mental side of the game. I am sure it would be hard to get him to do it, but I think everyone would love to see that video... He's the G.O.A.T!

🔥🔥when you guys are passing well would you say your shoulders and arms are creating a platform that is tense and tight or more relaxed and loose?

Great tips! Would you like to make video about what kind of technique you use when you have to make overhand pass as the first contact? I come with indoor background so there the overhand pass is no problem but in beach it has to be hit instead of soft contact. I have not yet found any consistent technique for this.

I too have problems with hard/fast serves that come straight at my torso. I guess I just should be quicker and get in a better position but that won’t happen any time soon as I’m 43 and not getting younger or faster. 😂

I was taught to do a tomahawk, but it still feels like a difficult solution to me, it's so static and you can't really move forward too much.. but it is technically correct..
@jannelakkapaa60575 жыл бұрын
@@jakobnordin I dodge the ball and try to underhand pass on the side of my torso. I don't know if that is really smart but I've gotten quite consistent doing so

When teaching passing I never recommend passing the first contact overhand. There is always a way to step back with either foot and pass the ball outside of your body rather than above head. Comes down to having quick and light feet, and a greater shoulder dip, like we talked about in the first two videos.

For short serves, is it better to run to the location and pass the ball or take one or two steps and knee drive forward to the ball?
@LearnBeachVolleyballFast5 жыл бұрын
I'd say master both! If what you mean with knee drive is like a falling pass, you will need that sometimes if you misread or the ball touches the net or something. But if you have the time, probably like a lunge pass which lets you back up for your approach afterwards would be the "best" way to do it. Sometimes people do the short balls with kindof a "toilet seat" pass, and I mean if it works it works but they kind of seem to get stuck down there afterwards sometimes which doesn't always make you so much of an effective attacker! 😅

@@raulmayers2072 Thanks! :) This particular part of the game is however something I haven't thought super super much about, there might be even better answers out there, so keep your eyes open for that! However, lately I've started to more and more understand the benefit of mastering several different (yet similar) solutions because in reality things happen in a myrias of ways and every short serve probably doesn't have the same "best solution"! :)

So staggered feet makes it easier to get the ball towards the middle, and makes you move faster (your guyses other video!) Love double benefits! How many more benefits can we find? :)

Maddison your kill % has to be one of the tops on tour when you pass in system. Credit to Riley's pure sets as well but damn man you can get up there and bomb with the best. How high can you touch?
@13randonLutz5 жыл бұрын
I think part of this too, is when people do their scout report on them, they don't watch a ton of Maddison hitting. Probably because he gets what seems like 10% of the serves, so they don't have a game plan on blocking him as much. Not to say he can't smash haha.
