Played beach yesterday, I can confirm the indoor passing struggle😂. It’s a work in progress, but I’ll keep these tips in mind, another great vid!

Finally! I was missing your video-tutorials so much! And this one is particularly interesting to me, because the fundamental which I am lack in is just that! In my auto-analysis I found out the main detail to pay attention on is also to watch the ball until the moment it is touching the arms. Literally to be watched during its entire path, from the serve to the receiver arms. Besides, I totally agree about indoor and beach comparison. I come from indoor, too (and I was a setter, like him), that's why I utterly got the point 😉 Can't wait for the next episode.

@@themckibbinbrothers Angling my platform it seems like such an obvious thing but I just wasn't getting it. My receives used to fly over for free balls or be completely all over the place but after changing my platform to aim up towards the pocket and go straight up it helped my game tremendously. I also think the advise for using your legs is useful I wasn't swinging like a baseball player but I was using more arms than my legs again I followed the videos advise and changed it now my passing went from totally sucking to pretty decent. So thank you.

Great video! Can’t wait to see the rest: it’s interesting when he mention a slight amount of backspin vs a “spinning” ball. Seems like more backspin would be less affected by wind. I guess too much makes it harder to set though?

Yeeeeesss, the tutorial videos are back! Great work guys, it's awesome to hear from the pros and Chaim explained it beautifully. I'd be keen to understand more about the passing height and the various options this brings (passing "low" to speed up the offence with a shoot set, passing "high" to give the hitter more time to position himself etc). Keep up the good work!

Solid first video of the series. I thought Chaim was one of the more under-appreciated players on the AVP this year... likely won't be the case next year as he teams up with C-Bud. That team will be playing on Sunday a lot!

This guy also benefits from an almost perfect arm camber. The combination of relatively narrow shoulders and long arms allows for a flat, predictable passing surface. Contrast this with a guy with wide shoulders and shorter arms. The passing surface becomes a triangle and that makes passing far more of a challenge. No intended offense but it's why women generally master this skill faster due to their advantageous arm camber.
