Hey pals, apologies for the sporadic audio-this was recorded over 7 days during a busy work week! Do you like this style of long-form videos? Also, comment what you want to see next 😊

Yes for long-form videos when it serves the purpose. I would like to see a custom design of a comments and not the default of Warpress

Yeah, I love the long-form videos. There are already much videos on KZbin for short tips and tricks.

Super cool. How did you create the part related to the colour combination? When you switch the button what exactly are you calling? I'm missing that setup in the video.

Hey! Do you mean what function is running when a theme option is pressed?
@marcosansalone9 күн бұрын
@@farhan-app yes exactly. The part related to the them option.

@@marcosansalone Sorry YT doesn't let me post the link to the code here. If you check the description, the link is there :)

Thank you very much for the tutorial! Before watching and implementing it, I checked it on the demo site and noticed that the toggle is not focussable and I cant make any changes hitting enter. A keyboard user wouldnt be able to use it... Is there a possiblity to implement this?
@farhan-app15 сағат бұрын
Thank you for watching! The toggle uses radio buttons instead of buttons and so the keyboard keyboard functions are actually different. Once you "tab" into the toggle, the checked radio button is the tabbed-into item and you can cycle through the options using the left/right keys. This was a deliberate choice as semantically I think radio buttons make more sense than a group of buttons. However, if you really want to use buttons to tab into the options instead, you can simply replace the radio buttons with actual buttons, and maybe 1% of the JS needs to be modified to listen to button clicks instead of radio buttons being checked. The remaining code will work as is. Hopefully that makes sense? I might actually make a video on for a theme toggle which looks like a toggle and uses normal buttons.

@@farhan-app Thanks for getting back to me! Indeed, now that you explained it to me I could change the modes with the arrows! This is good. Maybe instead of changing everything to group buttons, etc. maybe it would be better to just make the focus more prominent? With inset for example? It just disappears... I will experiment with that option. Its a good value video for the community!

@@PhilippBremer No problem! Oh I agree the focus state could be a bit better - I will look into this, thanks for feedback! Happy building :)

Really good to watch Farhan, well done. Clear, concise, no messing - keep these coming for Bricks. You'll build a big audience if you put some shorter content out for the less advanced - just my thoughts.
@abdulwaheedorg11 күн бұрын
Most of the Bricks Builder users are developers who love this type of advanced content. You can visit Kevin Geary's channel. All he has achieved is because of his advanced and long form videos. Now a big community trust him and his products lile Etch. We can't cover the important things in short videos. Farhan could have just put the JS code in description and tell us to use these CSS classes. But he showed us the logics behind it. That's what we love to see.
