I was using Excel too to track the cost of my meals when I was at uni 12 years ago. Got dinner to around NZ$4. I'm usually disappointed when I read some article about saving money on meals, and they don't break down the costs in a spreadsheet that shows exactly how much each ingredient is contributing to the total cost. There are some typical results - the meat tends to be the single most expensive ingredient, and breakfast is much cheaper.

When people say, "You can't eat healthy for cheap", what they really mean is, "Subway is expensive and takes longer than McDonald's". Additionally, people don't want to take the time to actually cook the meals themselves. Obtaining healthy meals is super easy, but cooking it requires time and work that others don't want to commit to. Yes, pizza rolls in the oven only take 20 mins to cook, but you're taking on a shit ton of calories. Yes, thawing, cleaning, cutting, cooking, and seasoning veggies and meat for meal prep is time consuming. In the end, however, it's SO worth it. You only get faster the more you do it and you learn to make a whole variety of foods. Acquiring the patience that is needed to make the healthy meals is so essential.

I think these are great meals, but they aren't complete. Total energy from one serving of each of the three meals gives only ~1400kCal per day. Pretty good for people looking to lose weight, but the average person probably wants to have 50% more calories in a day. An active person might need to consume twice the amount. Give and take, though. I'm a fatty, though, so I'll definitely be trying some of these. I'm always wrecked for the week if I don't do shopping and meal prepping on Sunday.

I love big servings of sweet things and it feels both like a treat, filling, and it's something I can have ready for cravings. Lifesaving. I also cut out the cheese because it doesn't really work with asian flavors but also to help even out the calories.) It has helped me refrain from ordering out and helps me eat more veggies. Been doing meal prep for a full month now and the spicy adobo chicken is easily the best meal I’ve ever had, especially for the macros

Got to be one of the best if not ‘the best’ meal prepper on KZbin. Watched many channels but this rocks. Quote “It’s got all of the cabbage patch kids in it” - v funny 😄

Commenting because I just made the baked oatmeal using some homemade jam I already had, plus some extra strawberries and it was super good. Planning on making the other recipes, too. Thanks!

I stumbled upon your channel by accident but I'm so glad I did. I love cooking and watching cooking videos but I feel like no one does meal prep like you and maybe that's why your channel is growing the way it is. I've only seen a few videos but loved them all. Thank you for such amazing content.
