I think it has improved a lot from 3 months ago. The first time it gave the impression that they had rushed the opening of Lighthouse Point. While the flies still are an issue it does look a little better than 3 months ago. Hopefully that will continue to improve over time.

We love the Magic. As you noted, smaller ship & less guest = less crowded at their Islands! It is amazing what 1000 less people feels like. Some likes the larger spaces on their bigger ships (like larger atrium, etc.) but when visiting their islands (to us) it makes a dramatic difference.

It's amazing to see the island now. I was there like 15 years ago and it was literally a couple of Gilligan Island huts and the pier was much smaller. No directories but none needed. Almost no plants. Grab a small box of Cheerios from buffet breakfast and go snorkeling. The fish will come up to be fed.

I was just there Sept 24 and other than the walk on the pier, it was everything I wanted it to be. It was the most gorgeous beach I have ever been on. I did see a few flies at the adult area food place but not like a I saw I past videos. I literally saw 2 flies. None came at me while eating and there were no fans running. The day I went, the quiet area in your video was the busy spot. The further I went towards the adult section, the less people. There were also loungers and chairs all along the beach, not just on the upper level.

Nice to see the fly problem have improvements. Also, Castaway Cay is not immune to bug problems either. Lots of ants on the tables at Serenity Bay on my most recent visit this year, so maybe it just varies on luck at the end of the day 🤷‍♂️

We’ll be visiting Lookout Cay on the Dream on 1st November and wanted to see what had changed, so this video is great. I think having our son with us who has high functioning autism and is very uncomfortable with insects buzzing around him, we’ll eat our lunch on the ship and then venture onto the island afterwards.

I was there mid-July. No flies and ample seating most everywhere. Shade on the walk to/from ship would be very nice. Can't wait to return.

We were there two weeks ago. I'm sure you noticed changes, but I think you were just more comfortable and familiar with the island. As a first timer, our experience was not a good one...I would not recommend this itinerary, especially for families.

Dude....still no shade, still no pier tram, on what is probably the longest pier walk to a private island....still seems sooooooo unfinished...have they never seen Coco Cay??? Gotta assume it's still a work in progress but it's still very disappointing. I guess they figure the Disney crowd will settle because it's off a Disney ship. Definitely not a premier "private island" experience. Too bad, cause Eleuthera is GORGEOUS Those flies on the buffet line are INEXCUSABLE and we all know from other islands it doesn't have to be that way. :( Thanks for the coverage!

That walk... My wife and I have a lot of trouble with the whole walking thing. We can make it for a little bit, but then we have to sit and rest. I look at that endless white concrete, with no shade, and NO PLACE TO SIT and start thinking maybe I'll just stay on the ship. And frankly Disney's new Disability Access Service seems to have become much worse. So not too enthusiastic about the service.
