My dad was a ride tech at Universal Studios in Orlando when Islands of Adventure opened. Regarding River Adventure, he always used to tell me that animatronics and water don't mix. Looks like Hollywood kept theirs on land, so I bet that's why they're much more reliable. Smart move on their part for sure.

@@ThemeParkExpress I had to go back in your POV to make sure. I'm originally from Orlando, so I've only been on that. But it seemed to me like even if they were in/close to the water, it's not nearly as much as the hadrosaur and brachiosaur in Ricer Adventure. My dad said those two in particular went down all the time when he worked there, and that was almost 20 years ago now. So Hollywood got it right for sure.

I've been there twice. When I was a kid in 1999 and as an adult in 2023. I prefer Orlando since there is way more to do. Glad y'all had a fun time!

It’s crazy the Secret Life of Pets has those restrictions! We were surprised that babies couldn’t ride it… they can ride so much in Disneyland!
