The monsters in this maze are all inspired by Universal’s horror films over the year and feature a soundtrack by SLASH. Some of these monsters include Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Phantom of the Opera and The Wolf Man. Run for the hills!!

Universal’s mazes are really strong this year, and this one is definitely my favorite. Especially great how much love characters like the Phantom are getting this year. You could really see the passion and love put into UCM. Great vid!

I think it´s rather fitting that the maze with the classic horror monsters doesnt have a lot of scares, not because they arent scary, but most of them are more Dramas, Phantom and Frankenstein specially, but that atmosphere, the visuals and the Phantom part, finally they made Erik look like an actual Corpse!

Yeah, one problem is the ilumination, i think it´s a bit too bright, now, i´m seeing this in a video and i cant go to Universal because i live in another country, but the abundance of yellow is a bit too much, i don´t know about you, but i always saw the Phantom´s lair more of a Red, Grey and maybe some pale Green or Blue. I do like how the face is like a mix of everything, some of the Michael, a lot of the Original Chaney look, some of the Musical version (Specially on the top) you even have some of Phantom inspired material like Darkman, all in all, this is just amazing

Yeah me too, unfortunately i can't travel to HHN either. I sort of like the yellow but its a bit too bright for a horror maze i'd say. Overall this is one of the best from this year

im guessing this was a media event before it was open to the public, so there would be some "boo holes" where the scares are not there.......or the cameraman was in a bad position in line making the scares happen before and after them

I really like how they took a concept that everyone is really familiar with and kind of desensitized to (the classic Universal monsters) and made it into an actually scary attraction. With those classic monsters being Halloween cliche in a sense (not so cliche here because Universal really brought these monsters to life first before they became staple monsters anyway) it seems difficult to make them truly scary again, but this maze certainly accomplished that well. I mean, when was the last time you were thoroughly creeped out by a Frankenstein's Monster like that? It's harmless Herman Munster, for crying out loud, he isn't scary anymore. However, that statement definitely doesn't hold true for this instance. Good job, Universal.

I kinda like the new look for some of these guys, but just making things bloodier doesn't make it scarier . . . it makes the maze a little more disgusting though. I wish they had Gillman make an appearance, a fake underwater section or a swamp would be so cool. I'm disappointed that they didn't do much more with the Invisible Man, like something basic like objects floating . . . However I don't like the new look for the Wolfman. It's just like one of those generic looking things from Spirit Halloween now; I'd rather a bipedal actor or something. And is anyone hating on the Phantom? Half the face looks a little bit like Lon Chaney while the rest is just torn off around the area of the ALW musical. It'd look better with ToTS mask on it tbh . . .
