Now that CGA is in the Six Flags family after the merge that just closed, I'm really hoping that it will be saved. It's just crazy to me how a park this wonderful would just shut down

I doubt it, considering Cedar Fair sold the land to reduce their debt, and that debt only got bigger with the merger. They got SFDK as a NorCal park.

It's a shame that California's Great America will be closing in a few years. Gold Striker looks like a fun, wild ride; someone should get the original blueprints and have a clone built at another park.
