I’ve also been going no less than 20+ times per season for many many years. This is missing a lot! Make sure if you wear glasses or sunglasses you buy and use a glasses strap, as most coasters require you to do so. And for pants, make sure you wear cargo shorts or pants, having button, Velcro, or optimally zipped pockets, to store your phone, and wallet. They will fall out otherwise. Also, if you bring a carry on bag, get a locker as most coasters don’t have bins. Also, bring ponchos and accept the weather at CP is very uncontrollable. The weather may be sunny, and still rain. Most coasters run in the rain still, it’s wind and lightning that shut down most.
@forliberty18053 жыл бұрын
The last I knew, phones are not allowed on Steel Vengence even in pockets. Employees were adamant about kicking people out of the park if they did not comply. So be prepared to put them in a locker before getting in line.

If concerned about $ and going for a day, take a picnic lunch in a cooler. You can drop the cooler off in the picnic shelter (outside and left of main entrance). Never had a problem in doing that for 30 years. Also, as of right now, CP is not doing Fastlane this year. If they do, then Fastlane+ ranges $120-150.

Does the picnic shelter have spaces to lock up your cooler in? Just asking so that it doesn't seem like someone could just come in and steal your cooler.

Unfortunately, Cedar Point has changed the rules for Early Entry for 2021. While guests of Hotel Breakers and Lighthouse Point can still enter the Magnum Gate and the WindSeeker Gate, Platinum Passholders and guests of Express Hotel can only use the Main Gate. Golden Entry also requires Gold Passholders to use the Main Gate when that opens at 9:30am. It sucks that Platinum Passholders can't use the Magnum Gate anymore, but I get why they're doing it. The crowds can get insane at the Magnum Gate.

You hit the nail on the head. I agree with everything you said. I think the three most critical things to having a good time at cedar point is staying on site, getting the fast lane plus and staying for at least 2 nights. I’d also recommend spending an afternoon (on the day you day you don’t get fast lane plus) on the beach. It’s so relaxing and fun. Then go back into the park for dinner and ride some more rides until closing time. This is an incredible experience that you’ll never forget. Take Brandon’s advice!

Saturday we got fast lanes, was definitely worth it, rode all the good coasters multiple times. Sunday we rode maverick,favorite in the park, in the morning till lines got long, then rode flat rides and family rides and a couple more coasters with short lines. Those aren't the " slowest moving lines ", they're the longest. Rainy days are the best. I rode SV a few days ago, 6 times, in an hour, with no fast lane. Night rides, you need to wait till it has BEEN dark for a while, because then the bugs aren't as bad. They're generally only really bad in the evenings at sunset. Great Wolf Lodge also has an indoor waterpark ( not as large as Kalahari ), but it's also a few minutes closer to the park and it's also very nice. The town hall is closed for this year. The drink plan is a must, period. There are many restaurants right on 250 within about 10 minutes of the park. Early entry at the Magnum gate is ONLY for guests at Breakers. Everyone else ( even if you have a pass ) can only use the front gate for early entry.

This video was created for when there is no more covid protocols. The magnum gate was always open for any park guests… doesn’t matter if you’re staying at the resort or not. Again, that rule was in place for this year. This video might have some things that don’t line up with this this years

Quaker steak just off the main entrance road to CP is always good. There’s also an amazing family owned pizza/Italian restaurant like 5 minutes away from the express hotel. I ate at both of them in 2019 and I haven’t been back to CP since until this coming weekend because of Covid and I intend on eating at one of them on the day the park closes at 8.

The Thirsty Pony is a real good place to eat right off Cedar Point Dr.. Its conncted to the Holiday Inn Express complex. Also a lot more Hotel and eating options on Milan Road. Theres a Buffalo Wild Wings, Longhorn and Outback Steak Houses, Chick-Fil-A, Culvers, Cinamark Theater, Red Lobster just to name a few things along that road

Highly recommend light house point cabins! The price seems a bit high but for families it is the perfect place to stay! I loved having the upstairs and main floor to sleep on because my parents are snorers. I can never sleep in hotels with them

Im really hoping theres not access passes and they bring back the fast lane passes this season. Im going for 2 days and im still scared i wont be able to ride everything.

In 2018 the third week of august had the most hours of operation despite relatively low crowds, but I went in late May instead because I also visited the widow of my dad's brother in Ann Arbour Michigan and she had a trip to Norway planned in August of that year. I arrived Monday afternoon at 4 and entered the park at 6pm when it closed at 8pm, and with those two hours of operation I got 10 coaster credits during that time, then spent Tuesday through Friday there. Only on Friday did I need to invest in a fast lane Plus, but the other days that was unnecessary. Consider: I live in Surrey; a suburb of Vancouver British Colombia, Canada; I didn't mind paying a little more $. Also: there are no flies to deal with in May like there are in August. That makes masks good at Cedar Point I guess, especially in August. LOL!

When do fast lane plus go on sale? Right now, they say "not available" - We are going the first week of June Tuesday through Thursday...worth it?

I would hold off... those are weekdays so won’t be as busy../ but all depends on how many hours the parks are open for. I def would have a wait to see approach.

its been a few years since ive been to my favorite amusement park ever - i think i have only ever stayed "on campus" since i started going. started out at Hotel breakers, then tried Sandcastle suites which wasnt bad, but dont think i would stay anywhere but the cottages at Lighthouse point. LOVE LOVE LOVE those. yeah theyre a little farther out but if we dont feel like wasting time walking its a really short drive to the parking lot and then short walk to the park. and hell yes for the fast pass every time

My wife and I have all season dining, and if you plan accordingly; you can eat more than twice a day. We try to eat as soon as restaurants open, and then set alarms for 4 hours to eat again. Doing so would allow you to eat at 11AM, 3PM, 7PM.

That’s what I call “a helpful video” thanks for that. I’ve never been there and I dream of being there my whole life. Considering I’m a foreign visitor, do you think a whole week there would be too much? You know when it’s like a “once in a lifetime experience”... I’m afraid of having enough of it and find nothing else to do... however I’m crazy about RCs. Thanks a lot!

Hey there, this video was great. Packed full of info. I'm pushing hard for a Cedar Point trip sometime in the next 3-4 years, as we are down in TN we've never had the pleasure of going. (Though we do hace a trip to Dollywood booked this Summer 👍) When tge time for Cedar Point comes, I'll be hitting this video (or an updated one?) up, for sure. Thanks again, be safe!

A few additional comments: If you are a platinum passholder when you buy a Fastline you automatically get upgraded to Fastline Plus This year you basically have to stay at Breakers to enter at the Magnum gate which gets you a head start in the running of the Bulls to Steel Vengeance, although SV will only be open for early entry on the weekends. Melt is the top option in the park in terms of food imo. If you get a Fast Lan Plus, I generally do Millennium Force during early entry because the FLP merges with the main line earlier than say Maverick. FLP also merges with main line early on GateKeeper and sometimes Magnum XL-200 when compared to say Top Thrill Dragster or Raptor.
@KeepRidinCoasters3 жыл бұрын
Alan, I forgot to write up a thing about the merge points! Damn! lol But yes, I agree, never cared for Millie's placement!
@alantrotter20773 жыл бұрын
@@KeepRidinCoasters They do a better job with it on some rides (SV, Maverick, TTD, Raptor, Valravn) than others (MF and Gatekeeper). Magnum is hit or miss. It depends if they fill up the loading area or if someone is standing at the FLP merge and only letting up a few people.

Thanks for sharing. Going there at the end of July for the first time and we are staying at Breakers and group of 5 people got the Fast plus tickets and the meal plans! Can't wait! I will make sure to close my mouth on the roller coasters! 🤣

9:22 Just an update: Unless you are a resort guest (even if you are a season passholder), you are not allowed to enter at the Magnum gate at Early Entry. But at 10:00am you can go through the Magnum gate.

We usually stay at a nearby campground. $20/night. We hit up the grocery store and cook over the campfire and pack lunches. Then all we have to buy are park passes - usually multi-day.

So is the all day dining worth the cost? What actually comes with it? How much is it regularly? I can't find where it allows you to eat or what the prices are normally anywhere..
@KeepRidinCoasters3 жыл бұрын
Food each meal will cost you around $14 ( for food only) So depends ... if the park is open for more than 10 or more hours, then I’d say yes - it’s worth it! Grab a meal whenever you want (90 minutes in between meals) You get any meal that has the meal plan logo. It’s prob around $35 per person or maybe $40. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching! - B

Another great place to stay for a cheaper alternative is the tru by Hilton in Sandusky, Ohio it is only about a 15 minute drive to the park. There is also an amazing pancake house on the way with very fast service which is great for breakfast. On the way to the park it is a beautiful drive onto the cedar point island.
