I rode it once and the door almost opened while the ship was going down. Also, the only things that prevents the door from opening while in movement and you from falling out it’s a small lock.

Oh yes, I did this too in France. It made me think of Tower of terror, but stand up and no seatbelts. It shows that the fair here is actually kind of for a wuss compared to France or Spain.

that's just mad! i remember a looping pirate ship in France where it was just a pressing pad in your chest and bars to hold onto, and the ride operator was a bloody sadist. he took us over the top really slowly. oof.

I would fly to France just to try this, I’m not gonna lie. I’m officially too old for roller coasters - even steel coasters give me a migraine. But I love a good pirate ship and this is the extra level of airtime/stomach drop thrill I crave.

I was so astonished from doubting the safety of a scrambler I rode at some travelling family's county fair...I found myself petrified of my pod becoming loose and rocketing straight across the yearly agricultural fair over in the Eastern Townships...astonished, because I'd always praised and rallied for independent business, but the ride looked and felt BEAT, especially by the ample gaps left along the bolts between the nuts and their fastenings; it must've rattled what with those gaps bringing LOTS of wobbliness about, but -- hey -- fairgoers' shriekings can become fierce

Next time you come to Italy you should visit Europark in Milan, at that fun fair wherever you look there’s something that looks illegal. They have a pirate ship just like this with the cages, there are three coasters including a wild wind from interpark that got banned in the USA because it was too dangerous but the ride that felt the most wrong to me was the Phantasialand’s Condor that they turned into a stand-up flyer with cages, flying 30 metres high in a cage was one of the scariest experience I’ve ever had

That ride was great .reminds me of an old dive bomber at our local travelling fair it was so dangerous no restraints and the cars used to stick and not spin when going over the top and you would end up in the footwell for the duration of the ride.cuts bruises the work's

I remember there was a pirate ship like ride at fireworks night in Tunbridge Wells waaay back in the late 80s. My dad used to take me on it with him. You actually had to use your weight to move it back and forth. It was not secure but was sooo much fun. Also I remember biting in to a frozen burger patty and being repulsed. Those were the days.
