Join us as we head to Tokyo Dome City in Japan for our first ever visit! In our vlog we check out this unique amusement park located in the heart of the city, that features a mix of rides and shopping all joined together. We take a ride on the Big Wheel to enjoy some amazing views across Tokyo along with some fantastic views of the Thunder Dolphin roller coaster. We also enjoy some karaoke in the gondola as we soar high above Tokyo!

I was lucky enough to experience Thunder Dolphin in October '23, I managed to get into the front row, and I have to say that drop was one of the more intense I've been on, and shooting around what feels like a bunch of highrises was a super unique experience! I'm sure it'll still be there when you're back next time!!

The log flume with the scream-o-meter is at Cosmo World in Yokohama (just a lil south of Tokyo City) and is called: Rapids Slide "Cliff Drop" "Scream Grand Prix". They also have the Diving Coaster "Vanish!" there which is cool. I walked past Tokyo Dome city so many times when I was in Tokyo back in 2014 but the whole park was closed for the time I was there. Shame as I too would have loved to have got on Thunder Dolphin!!

Amazing video! At 8:37 that Back Daan coaster used to be a Amazing adventures of Spider-Man clone called Tokyo Panic Cruise! It’s such a shame it’s gone now but I can understand the maintenance costs much of being crazy for it.

I'm so sorry you didn't get to ride Thunder Dolphin. I had a similar experience in 2005 with Desperado outside Las Vegas. Made the journey to ride the Hyper coaster only to find out that maintenance would take place until the day after I flew hope. Was totally devastated and unfortunately never returned. I believe the ride is retired now, but I understand these things happen. I was less understanding at the time 😅

Seeing the park like this actually makes me quite sad. In the 00s, Tokyo Dome City was a very innovative place. It also had the first Intamin impulse coaster, which is now where the kids rides are it seems. Really sad. Hope it thrives again one day!
