Here are my thoughts: Definitely agreed on Limp Bizkit. And to think that that was one of the best selling first week albums of the 2000's. IT LITERALLY SOLD OVER A MILLION COPIES IN 1 WEEK!!! St. Anger agreed as well but not because it was different but because it was so uninspired and so painfully boring. Ugh Morbid Angel. There is absolutely nothing wrong with mixing Industrial and death metal, plenty of bands do it well like you said but the way they did it was horrible and overproduced. Korn for sure. There are only 2 songs on the album that I like. The rest are throwaway tracks. While I don't think that "Time I" is one of the worst I can understand why it's on this list. Also big middle finger to Wintersun for continually disappointing their fans with promising "Time II" because that's just disrespectful to your supporters. Six Feet Under I actually kind of disagree with but only because I truly feel that "Crypt of the Devil" was infinitely worse. I listened to that album only 1 time and immediately knew that it was the worst album I had ever heard. Definitely understand why this album is on your worst list, it's still awful. I have yet to listen to that Therion record and I don't plan on it. It's a bold move to release a 3-disc album but you need to have something worthwhile and engaging to listen to. Swallow the Sun are an example of a band who somehow managed to release a 3-disc album that was actually a masterpiece because every disc is engaging and completely different from the next disc. I also can't really talk about the Nostalgia Critic and Psychosexual "albums" and quite frankly I'm kind of scared to listen to them, especially the Psychosexual album. Based off of your review of it it sounds like a painfully cringy, misogynist, bland, and generic album. I can understand pushing buttons but if you have nothing worthwhile to say then what's the point. That's all I have to say. Apologies for the rant.

The part of Break Stuff where he starts yelling GIVE ME SOMETHING TO BREAK gets me so hyped but I'm on the spectrum (formerly known as aspergers) and stim so hard to it as well as other music I love that I can't drive while hearing it or I might wreck lol.. I accidentally broke the inside handle of the passenger side door in my boyfriends car and managed to give myself a minor concussion not long ago. Metallicas RTL demo was directly responsible, too bad we can't sue them "Your music was so good it made my girlfriend destroy the interior of my car, kill her last 4 brain cells, and then the next day splatter 11 pedestrians" lol. Behemoth, Slipknot, Carcass, Mayhem and Cannibal corpse do it a lot too. Don't ask me why other than "it kicks ass." It's been an ongoing pattern, when I used to play in bands and got super into it I'd literally just smack and beat the strings on my bass like a redheaded stepchild. People reacted very differently lol.. that's apparently a polarizing move but it works for something as intense and chaotic as metal, and I learned to kinda use it to my advantage. My boyfriend loves seeing me so happy that I go full retard and thought the broken door was funny so it's whatever 🤷🏻♀️

Great list as usual. I do have to admit that Time I hurt a little, because I genuinely loved this album when it came out and have a lto of nostalgia for it, but I see your point. In retrospect it's just not a well thought out concept album. It might be if we got to hear the rest of it, but yeah.. that is just not realistic anymore. I also got more annoyed by this band through their constant cons. Even when the forest seasons (and the initial corwdfunding) came out I though "why the hell should I give this guy 500k for a studio, when he just produced a record that sound like acutal garbage". But at this point it's more of a meme than anything...

St. Anger has become the go to punching bag for whatever reason. Yeah, the tin snare sound on Lars' snare can be irritating. But I'm going to highly disagree with you about the lyrics. And they didn't put their heart and soul into that album because you said it yourself, the band was on the verge of breaking up as well as a lot of other things. Kind of hard to put your heart and soul into a record when you have nothing but absolute chaos going on in my opinion. There was definitely a lot of raw emotion as well as tension put into that record. I'm so glad that I didn't listen to Nostalgia Critic's album though. There is no metal album as bad as Danzig's Blackacidevil. I really don't hate albums from bands I don't like because I just don't put that bands on my radar. I really only hate metal albums from bands I love because it hurts even more. eg. Kreator - Renewal, Venom - Calm Before The Storm, Megadeth - Risk. I don't hate Slayer's Repentless but my god I wish it wasn't the album they went out on, it's for sure their worst ablum. I love Therion, and I own every album, but I only listened to Beloved Antichrist once. It's purely a vanity project. I might put it on again someday.

I agree on your take on St. Anger. Metallica was too unstable and jaded to care at the time, the documentary made me feel as if they could break up at any time. That album is garbage and I'm not changing my mind anytime soon. Yet it was a mainstream success, proving that Metallica's legacy is so big, people will buy anything they make just because it's Metallica. They're part of pop culture now and more power to them, they earned it.

Geez, um.... not sure if I can rank a couple from 10-1. Instead, I’ll show off a list of albums that I consider the worst or hated. - Celtic Frost - Cold Lake - Cryptopsy - And Then You’ll Beg/The Unspoken King - Five Finger Death Punch past Wrong Side of Heaven Vol 1. and 2 (even those were spotty) - Limp Bizkit - Results May Vary - Machine Head - Catharsis and onwards - Metallica - St. Anger - Nostalgia Critic/Rob Scallon - NC’s The Wall (wouldn’t consider metal, but holy shit it’s insulting) - Therion - Beloved Antichrist - Within Destruction - Yokai - All of Emmure/Atilla’s discographies - All of Six Feet Under’s discography Just to name a few, at least. Chocolate Starfish is a guilty pleasure only because I enjoy a lot of nu-metal. Just to add, Wes Borland is a pretty cool guitarist, and the rest of the band does mostly okay. Fred's a fucking asshole, but it doesn't demerit the music as a whole for me (at least up to Results May Vary considering it had the least work done by the overall band, and was a mess in terms of how it was written and constructed). Break Stuff during a concert intermission can get me going, even if it probably shouldn't from a lyrical standpoint, but they have far worse songs. Then again, I'm biased because I enjoy nu-metal a lot. It's something I can listen to mostly anytime and not have to think too much on, and it was my first gateway to music. So it has a special place in my heart, even if other parts of my self-musical journey have more competent moments to them.

I don't have any issues with this video nor any of your videos (except for when you mislabel bands as gothic rock 😉) because, like you say, you're not an expert, and nor do you claim to me. The people thick enough to not understand this have IQ issues... The only "criticism" (if you want to call it so) that I have is that this was predictable and unsurprising. Many metalheads, if not most, dislike those Metallica and Morbid Angel albums. Also, many metalheads can't stand Limp Bizkit and Black Veiled Brides, myself included even though I like nu metal and other alternative music. And, even in the 2000s, many people didn't like Six Feet Under. I think if you listed more odd albums from bands that you like, that would have been more interesting. But my only reason for liking them is because I'm a slightly depressed junior in high school and I legitimately think the music is good for the sole reason of not finding any other post-hardcore appealing to me. I don't really like most contemporary, more popular PHC bands like Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens mainly due to the vocals. That doesn't mean I don't like high vocals as someone who also loves power metal bands such as Dragonforce and Rhapsody Of Fire. *In my opinion* Wretched And Divine: The Story of The Wild Ones is, obviously far from perfect, namly the storytelling I will agree with you on that, but is definitely underrated *in my opinion*.

Would you rather go to hell and burn for eternity or go to a soundproof room and listen to Limp Bizkit for Eternity?

Testament's demonic, ozzy's Ordinary Man, Metallica's St Anger, Dream Theater's Astonishing, Disturbed's Evolution, Def Leppard's X, Van Halen's VH3, Santa Cruz's Cahtarsis, Queensryche dedicated to chaos and Avenged Sevelfold seventh trumpet for me are the worst albums by bands I like.
@Gregbaltzer3 жыл бұрын
I love Demonic, I'd put above some of their other albums. It doesn't sound like Testament but the songs are really catchy. I find I'd rather listen to it than any of their newer stuff, or The Ritual. As for Ozzy, I don't like anything he did after Ultimate Sin. No More Tears probably being the best of the lot(thanks to Lemmy)
@reaverofjillsandwiches3 жыл бұрын
@@Gregbaltzer Well to each their own I don't like the vocals mainly plus a lack of solos compared to their other stuff, and lack of variety. Just fo rme I really don' tlike that one. I like no More Tears, but after that one yeah Ozzy's albums as a whole haven't really done much. I like a few songs here and there, but that's about it.

Ten Albums I Hate 10. Lulu-Metallica 9. Anything by Brian Poshen or Norma Jean 8. The Unspoken King-Cryptopsy 7. Untitled-Korn 6.Super Collider-Megadeth (What a letdown that one was!) 5. The Astonishing-Dream Theater (unoriginal concept with laughably bad lyrics and zero musical effort) 4. Frequency Unknown-“Queensryche” (Screw you Geoff Tate!) 3.Anything by Rage Against The Machine (a band constantly shoved down my throat that just don’t resonate with me) 2.Illud Divinum Insanus- Morbid Angel 1.Crucify.Kill.Rot-Rose Funeral Nostalgia Critics The Wall gets an honorable mention. Fuck that record. Doug Walker proved he didn’t understand the original album (or Pink Floyd in general) while drowning in his own ego. Just my opinion.

I liked SFU. Up until Graveyard Classics. Stopped buying their stuff after that pile of trash. Still love Therion. But only those albums between Theli & Gothic Kabbalah.

You have to do a second part because you forgot every Debauchery album. The most embarrassing band in human history. At Debauchery, a bottle of Jack Daniels is not enough.

Describing ANYTHING in the circle of Doug Walker as "metal" is an utter insult to the genre. There is NOTHING remotely metal about Doug Walker. Adding the album to this list is actually a compliment that Walker doesn't deserve.
