Davis is our future and we have to develop him just like JJ . Coach Moore can't mess that up. I trust Orji and I'm ready to ride with him win or lose let's just get better.
@MGoBlue6969Ай бұрын
Regarding Jadyn Davis, people just need to relax on that for a minute lol. Its week 2, and hes been qb3 at best. QB4 really because Tuttle was getting reps over him too. Plus you dont to throw him in while the offense is this big of a mess and ruin his confidence. If it's still really ugly vs USC, the best time to give him the nod would be after that. He would have 4 weeks of game action before playing another top tier team in Oregon

Great show you all. I just want to add I don’t have confidence in our OC. He was fired from ODU when my God son played their in part because he had terrible game plans.

@@khrisstake2210 with that offensive scheming you had to be #16 to be successful. Making all the plays yourself. In this offense you need a good arm and the ability to get out of the pocket

Also can I suggest recording audio individually on your computers and then syncing that up instead of recording a zoom/Teams call? It’s kind of hard to understand everything due to the limited audio quality
@ianeptuneАй бұрын
Guys, you've gotta improve the audio quality. I know it's a virtually hosted podcast, but damn it's hard to listen. Content is good. Cheers

For that play with orji to work we need to bring him in on first down and let him run the series. It's just too obvious bringing him in just for third.

Texas was the more expeienced team, from top to bottom, they didnt replace 18 starters, didnt replace their HC, strength coach, OC, DC, LB coach, DB coach, RB coach etc from a national title team. They came with almost everyone back and brought in a couple of starting players from Georgia and LSU. They are UM coming into 2022, maybe 2023.
@malachimckinney156Ай бұрын
We always talk about us having great culture and leaders but to me it looked like Texas was the more loose team the more together team and the more vocal on the field. I’m not used to seeing that. We have always been the more together more juiced up team. They came in our stadium blasting Boosie staring us down wearing ski masks even whooped our ass and planted a flag I knew they were more talented but I didn’t know they would out culture us if that makes sense

Les was right in the beginning. Idc who slipped over what. When Orji came in and they motioned empty, the entire world knew the play call. It was not a good call and the main point is that it disrupted the rhythm and ruined the drive. Not long after that Loveland fumbled and the game was over in the 2nd qtr.
@MGoBlue6969Ай бұрын
We can talk all day about missed assignments on O and coverages on D etc. The coaches aren't doing their jobs. Like you said a CB couldn't play plain Cover 3 on 3rd & 13. Maybe if the DC wasn't using 40 different blitz combos the 19yr old could learn the "why" to every cover 3 concept/situation. Same with offense. If you can't even run power you shouldn't be calling some of these other plays. And why do they NEVER run play action?!
@loudandcleartv1598Ай бұрын
I have to agree with Daniel abt Jayden. This is not the NFL there are plenty of Freshmen who are ready to play. If Warren was out there getting killed or under extreme pressure like DG was when he was playing then I would agree with him and Sam.
@MGoBlue6969Ай бұрын
@@loudandcleartv1598I agree for the most part. I just don't think it'd be fair to him really. The offense is a mess, and they had at least 3 QBs ahead of him all off season (Warren, Orji, Tuttle). So he was probably getting no reps with the 1s. To put him out there now, with how the offense looks, and give him basically a week of practice before playing USC wouldn't be smart. He should start getting more reps now, and If it's still ugly vs USC I would play him after that. Then he would have 4 weeks to prepare for Oregon

Disagree with DG. If Jadyn is the best option at QB he should play, freshmen or not. The way his teammates play shouldn’t determine if Jadyn plays this year or not.

Jyaire hill was horrendous against Texas mental mistakes and missed tackles that were lack of effort missed tackles were his whole day. Thinking a guy is just going to fall down cuz you got two arms on him was ridiculous. He needed to drink some Gatorade. Also someone needs to tell Devin that 4-4 is better than 3-5. In the NFL 7-9 leaves you out of the playoffs but 8-8 gets you in some years. The 7-9 team ain’t running around saying we should be in the playoffs. Your record says how good you are.

Is the problem on defense that Martindale is coaching over their heads? Meaning, is his defense too complicated at this point in the season?
@MGoBlue6969Ай бұрын
He needs to not blitz so much and just work out of base coverages. Minter ran tons of cover 3 last year, and it worked because we don't need to blitz, our front 4 is maybe the best in the country. Same with the offense but even more so because they're not good. If you can't execute your base plays well, then that's all you should be focusing on

How long will Michigan AD stick with Moore? How many recruits will we lose because of this lost to Texas? I bet we will not get the recruit (the running backs) from Texas that was there. We need an experienced coach like Bill O’Brien.

Not only that but with orji being athletic why can't we roll him out and maybe someone gets open 🤔. Anything can happen when an athlete has the ball with the ability to by time for our young receivers
@A2Fan71Ай бұрын
I’m not sure Les is wrong. Some of the play calling and decision making was stupid! Warren drove the entire field in the second quarter. Michigan was on the Texas 19 yard line, and they brought Orji in to run on 3rd and 3. Sarkisian called a timeout, and Michigan still ran the play, which was very predictable. Orji got tackled behind the line, and that killed the drive! The whole world knew what they were doing, so Michigan coaches need to be less predictable and make better decisions!
