I love this legendary band! The Runaways are usually credited for being the first successful all-girl rock band and their music rocks but Fanny came first and inspired everyone else

Amen.There was a time when a Hammond with a Leslie speaker was a fixture in rock music. I miss that sound. Its great that I can hear it on KZbin.

I love the ending of this live version, without the fadeout. Also wonderful to see a video where Fanny was allowed to play live and not forced to lip sync. Their live sound was unmatched. What a treat it is to see such a high quality video of this performance. To squares and misogynists of the 1970s, "Guess you guys weren't ready for that yet. But your (grand)kids are gonna love it."

What a shame this band didn't make a bigger impact on the music world in the early 70's- they clearly had the talent. I didn't know that the Millington sisters reunited with Brie (Brandt) Howard- the original drummer, prior to Alice de Buhr- and released an album entitled "Fanny Walked the Earth" in 2018. I just found it on Apple Music and I'm going to give it a listen.

If you haven't done so already, I suggest you listen to their Beat Club sessions on YT. Maybe the tightest and most energetic rock performance I've ever seen. I had never heard of this band and I was in shock!

My sister was probably a fan of Fanny, but I never really got into them. However, I can appreciate what they've opened for female rockers, and even though I was more into Hard Rock, I do agree they sound great.

I was 13 when this was aired but somehow didn't hear about Fanny until just a few months ago. They had a great sound and I love listening to them now. I even subscribed to June Millington's KZbin channel. Great band.

There’s a video out there of them playing live 4 or 5 songs in an empty TV studio in Holland or Germany from around 1972 and they are crushing it! Really soulful and excellent musicianship. Heaps better than this session. Miles better than the studio stuff.
