I was a teenager in the 70s and Sly was always one of my favorites and there were so many great musicians to listen to then. It was an incredible time for music. I was in Buffalo, NY where there were a lot of colleges and concerts every weekend, but I never got to see Sly and the Family Stone. I'm so grateful to be able to see all this old footage on KZbin. It's just great. Thanks for sharing this video with us!

I seen this band in the early 1970's at the Aragon Ballroom in Uptown Chicago with a bunch of other kids from my Lakeview neighborhood. This was my very first concert experience. It was a great, loud show that was supposed to start around 7 or 8 pm, don't really remember but they didn't start till close to 11 because Sly was late in arriving. We drank a lot of Ripple and Boones Farm Strawberry Hill before arriving and smoked plenty of weed before and during the show. Great memories from great days.

Rather listen to this all night than anything on the radio. lol. I feel we were all so very very lucky to of grown up with this in our young ears than the likes of what some of the message is today. Sly too, but the whole band was of purity and joy. Songs that made and still make you feel better. I bless the gift!🌹🥳
