Minecapsule - Ep 2

Minecapsule is a mini series where I revisit the worlds that I played before I started my KZbin channel. In the first episode, I pop into a corrupted save file and attempt to salvage anything I can.
I make references to my other KZbin channel in this video. Currently, there are no videos on it, so I will not post the link. But keep an eye out, as I will be uploading to that channel within a week, starting with videos of Minecraft's TerraFirmaCraft mod.

I agree. On one hand Mojang breaking our farms made it harder for us. We had to think of new ways to do things. On the other hand, it was kind of a smack down of the thought, creativity, and hard work that had already been done.

The tree-leaves is because of their absent datavalue. They count as blank leaves, without any values specifying their texture, therefore MC counts them as any random leave but it gives the random texture without saving the new value.

The generator ports mod allows you to generate terrain and biomes from earlier versions in the current ones in separate worlds. I think you would like it, muse.

Your town being destroyed is worse than revisiting a bombed out nuclear fall-out city. You can't even walk among the rubble, you only have reworked land that wasn't even related to the old civilization. And one idea with the boats - are you still able to go back to 1.2 or so with that world and show us the amazingness that once was boats?

the reason the leaves changed is because the extra data values for the different leaf blocks used to be used for leaf decay timing

Dude the solution to your love of old minecraft: Minecraft version changer. This is a very simple mod that you can just download, no modloader needed, nothing at all, you just download it open it, and then choose waht ever version you want minecraft to be patched into. they have EVERY version from classic, to indev, alpha beta, snapshots, you name it. It's so easy and fun. try it out, it's updated to 1.4.6!

I think I downloaded this world once in 1.8. although I did mean to download the chickenator. must've clicked the wrong thing. think I deleted it but it's nice to see some of the stuffs original purposes/uses.
