First! That is some cold water Fishing. That last trout was beautiful. Nice dark color. Thx for the show, brother. Have a good weekend.

It was brutally cold at the end. My hands were burning from the wind and water, but I managed to get the job done; thanks for watching, and have a good weekend, too.

That was a lot of ice. I'm glad you found some open water. 😊

It was definitely a challenge, but I think that's part of the fun.

Those fish are so pretty. Love em. Way to battle the wind and cold and ice to make it happen! Cmon spring! Let's get here soon!

Thanks for the comment, and I agree! Spring can't get here soon enough.

I drove so far that I had no choice. By the time I got there, it was brutal but fun. The cold temps messed up my camera a bit

Glad you found some unfrozen water finally... you caught some beautiful browns with the red spots, wow. Be careful on that step bridge... looked chilly and windy but glad you caught a bunch. Cool fold up rod and great intro and video Mike!
@SlayermikeFishingandMOREАй бұрын
Yeah, the weather was brutal! But I got some nice fish. Thanks for watching!

What a day for sure! It was cool out there! At least you got some it makes it all worth it. I hate when I drive all the way to my ponds and they are frozen over and you can't fish and have to drive all the way back and you get all ready for nothing. happened once already to me!
@SlayermikeFishingandMOREАй бұрын
@PHFishingBiking Yeah I know that feeling very well winter trout fishing in my state is all 1.5hrs away from me I want to go ice fish soon I can do that closer to home thanks for watching

Glad you got into a few fish despite the tough conditions. Tenkara looks like fun but probably not when the river is frozen over
@SlayermikeFishingandMOREАй бұрын
I figured it would be easier to learn with less grass on the bank, lol

That is some crazy weather for stream fishing. Hoping to start ice fishing soon. Have fun and be safe out there!
@SlayermikeFishingandMOREАй бұрын
Me too, but I am not interested in walking thin ice for a tiny sunny lol. Hopefully, this next week, I can get the shack out on the ice
@fsupoutdoorsАй бұрын
Pulling a few fish out of those icy conditions was pretty impressive Mike!

drove 2.5 hours down to whitewater two months ago and didn't see any sign of life after 5 hours of fishing... we saw one baby rainbow swimming away while leaving but that was it. I think the place is overhyped and especially overfished. I talked to an expert who lives there, and he also says it is heavily overfished, and you just have to go at the right time. Might come back after the opener next year. Or I might head out to the driftless for the first time... heard some good things over there. Nice video as always!

If the season is on, fish the whitewater outside the park. This spot is at the top of the park, with a long walk in but worth it. Thanks for stopping by!
