ah yes, the episode every season have where they want ot teach a lesson about a Pony's characteristic trait, but they write it so over-the-top, the character becomes an out-of-character asshole.

The way they bring the judges around is actually the same thing they do in Face Off, a film make-up/costume competition. It's not necessarily to help the contestants win, but to help them get the best result they are capable of by giving valuable feedback as professionals already IN the industry. Valuable advice they can take home, even if they don't win. Not so much about helping to WIN than helping to bring out the best result in each contestant.

I actually liked this episode-tho that's because Applejack was being SUCH a female dog, that I found it amusing/and wanted to see people react to it, though she want too far with destroying Lilylace's hat that she worked HOURS on, happy to see that she apparently gotten helped in remaking it.(I also liked the "everyone wins" ending, I'm a sap okay.)

This line took place while he was pretending to be drunk and the episode was in Paris and on a spaceship, where a bunch of clockwork droids were there. The clockwork droids all wore beautifully intricate costumes that really fit in to the theme of the episode. Weird I didn't notice the banana.

ahok man but the reason most loathe the theme song is because it kind of goes against a lot of what the show is it has incredibly overly positive lyrics ultra colorful visuals while at the same time not using the animation to convey anything special. the overly girly atmosphere, its incredibly simple the show is more than those things mlp can get very mature, it can be dark, it can be beautiful,it can be action packed. the theme basically represents season 1's atmosphere the show has grown a lot since its conception and the only that reflects that is the last part of the theme with the group photo. people hate it due to those reasons
