Cannot complain about the Suzuki Vitara Automatic 6 speed transmission. With careful driving I can achieve 4.9 L/100km on the highway. Using the manual mode (paddles) while travelling through hilly country is great for keeping up the momentum.

Wow 4.9 with what speed 70-80 ? Is it 4wd ? Yeah some people like auto boxes but i am manual driver feeling more the car and being more engaged in whole driving

My figures are 6.7l of high-grade Premium petrol per 100km during 3000km long trip to Altai (South of Siberia), all sorts of roads, from 150 kmh highways to near-offroad, very complex terrain (uphill/downhill are 50% of all trip). 1.4t 6AT AWD, not Hybrid. And yes, paddles are great thing on the unpredictable mountain road.

@@themorronshacks no, just opposite - rally raid style :) in April, it's almost no traffic on country roads, but weather is sunny and dry, so it's possible to drive a bit beyond of safe.. and, I'm happy husband of rare female car and driving fan :)

I found the 1.4 turbo allgrip SZT 6 speed automatic but I wish i had found a manual transmission. 😠😭. At least it has paddle shifters

Great test. Are you satisfied with the steering wheel? Some people say ita too soft even at high speed which may be annoying?

No problem, it is just fine, it is definitely not soft at high speeds. It is pretty connected to the wheels in most cases.

In short Duster 1.5 dci is cheaper ride more comfortable, but much slower - top speed 170 kmh. Better fuel economy - Duster. Duster covers underneath with rust very easy after 1 year rear brakes are rusty already which is really ugly. Suzuki is more stiff, 1.4 turbo is much more aggressive and powerful, but burns more fuel if stepped hard. More sporty feeling and japanese quality. So I like power and suzuki feeling more, so i choosed suzuki. In corners is very good too. But its ride is bumpy and not so good as Duster's. Suzuki has 7 years main components warranty in Bulgaria ;)
