This video is great ... Quick question,how do you feel about PES NASM certification? I see you're a strength and conditioning coach, was wondering how you felt about their curriculum?

Shouldn't it be "force/acceleration" curve?? That's not an insignificant difference...

It should be a mass/velocity curve, since if you accelerate a light weight very fast it takes a lot of force.

2:26 you mention 8 x 3 with 50 % load and moving the bar quickly. Did you mean 3 x 8 ?

No , speed strength is done like that only .

But this is not the whole curve. There is no eccentric muscle stretch on the graph.
@drbonesshow12 жыл бұрын
The problem with trainers and athletes when they see these curves is that they fail to realize maximum effort training will without a doubt increase the power for speed activities as Power = Force x Velocity.

The labeling just isn’t good it should probably be a mass/velocity curve

@@Limbaugh_ I mean force is the main part of it mass isn’t force you don’t create mass and not does it create power

How would volitionally controlled rep speed fit in here? If one were to use a 4 second concentric/4 second eccentric or Superslow/ Renex training protocol?

Can you do a video on how to define and understand the formulas on pp 27-29 on the CSCS textbook? I struggle to understand these terms, having never had experience with physics or the mathematical equations being used. Very hard for me to understand.

But in the initial part of the race dont we need maximal force to get an explosive start , so wouldn't be max strength training useful for sprinters ?

Hey Matt, Rohit this side, as I am Strength and Conditioning Coach working with professional cricket players. I problem is that these athletes are beginners athletes in regards of strength and conditioning aspects , they do not have basic foundation of strength movements , they do not know regarding the basic movements regarding the fundamentals movements of strength , So , as a Strength and Conditioning Coach what I will do to enhance performance of these players during in season of the game . From where i have to start the periodisation , on which aspect should I work with these athletes. Please help me out with this query .

Sounds like you are saying force and load are the same. Personally, I consider them to be the different.
@TheMovementSystem4 жыл бұрын
Force= mass X acceleration. If you are doing the lift on earth acceleration is 9.8m/s^2. Therefore Force is directly proportional to mass.
@andrewbaldwin25314 жыл бұрын
@@TheMovementSystem are you saying velocity is the same as acceleration? Besides the force velocity curve is base a single sarcomere. I think its wrong to apply it as universal principle to exercises.
@TheMovementSystem4 жыл бұрын
@@andrewbaldwin2531 No velocity is not the same as acceleration. Acceleration is the change in velocity. What's really important though is how this applies to athletes and what this is really telling us is that to maximize force we need to load heavy but if we want to express power then we need to decrease load and even though force will be lower the power will be higher.
@andrewbaldwin25314 жыл бұрын
@@TheMovementSystem i dont understand why you need a heavy weight to maximise force. You said f= m x a, therefore you can maximise force through high acceleration kind of bringing me back to the original point that load and force are differant. Snatch grf can be 3500 while powerlifting squats are about the same showing the force velocity curve is not hyperbolic.
@TheMovementSystem4 жыл бұрын
@@andrewbaldwin2531 Theoretically yes you could but we tend to see a tradeoff in sport movements in the real world between heavy loading slowing the movement down but producing maximal force and slightly lower weights allowing for faster speed and more power output.

according to newton law force = mass x velocity ÷ time how it when the force increase the velocity decrease!!!! i cant understand why the relationship between force and velocity is opposite!
