Mick you are a life saver, my mother-in-law asked me to cut her grass when I was up in Scotland from London, not just round the corner. I'd never seen or used the mower before and have an electric rotary mower at home so well out of my comfort zone. I managed to get it started and worked out one of the cables had come detached so having fixed that I was well pleased with my self but then I had no drive, that's where you came in. A quick google and half an hour later I had fixed the clutch and I was off and cutting. Top video, I owe you a pint.😊

Mick, you’re a legend! In hindsight i heard the clunk when i engaged the clutch. But with the help of your video, the lawn mower was fixed in about 10mins and now has lovely strips up and down the lawn. Many Thanks.

A short while ago I was frustrated and annoyed because the blades weren't turning on my Allet lawnmower. Having watched your video I knew exactly how to tackle the problem. It turned out to be the exact problem explained on the video. Now my lawnmower is working perfectly and I'm so pleased not just because the problem is resolved but I feel I have learned something useful!! Thanks Mick!!

Thanks Mick, just done the dog-clutch on my Suffolk Punch 14sk. So easy, took me about 10mins after watching your video. The dog-clutch had slipped about 3cm up the shaft. The mower just stopped yesterday - no drive, no cutter. Everything just as you described in the video. Much appreciated ( That awful noise gone as well) Thanks again.

Just a quick late comment on this, for anyone who has done the trick shown to get rid of the dog clutch noise and it hasn't entirely fixed the problem. I found with mine that although I moved the clutch outwards on the shaft, as shown so well by Mick, that it still occasionally made the grinding noise. I took it to bits properly and put new rubber in the clutch (about £6) and along with the correct adjustment it cured the problem. The rubber had softened over about 25 years. 👍
