@@theoverlord3937 you're forgetting a crucial detail about this though. Finding out the name of a character is crucial due to connections in the books, how they tie in with the lore, and knowing the name of someone will solve some loose ends, that way fnafs time-line won't be messy and all over the place. That's the whole reason why fazbears fights exists. It's to tie up loose ends that the series has left in the main 7 games, whilst the series is still on hold with new lore with vanny and William, and the lore in the AR Game. I know that this is isn't a serious comment, but the bedroom he's in is actually most likely a nightmare - if you look at his bedroom in the minigames, it has a different layout. My guess is that it takes familiar elements to him (his bed, closet, and look of his room) and twists them to resemble either a nightmare scenario (where he's unable to close and lock the doors and can be attacked from both sides) or his hospital room (the flowers, IV fluid stand, and pill bottle that show up sometimes by his bedside). Edit: April 2021: nevermind lol the room is definitely real. But I’m not sure if the events that take place in it are real or not, kinda like the Fake Ending of Sister Location.

He so massive too he 12ft tall
@Bradleybus6 ай бұрын
People will say his design is too overboard, but I really think it calls to some of our innermost basic instincts. It's like seeing some massive bear in front of you, bloodthirsty, dead yet alive animalistic piercing eyes, that wants to kill you, with sharp teeth and claws and can rip you to shreds in seconds, with virtually no chance of survival if it gets you, and simply a door stopping it, all at the mercy of your reaction time and ability to track it's position. Something that could scare someone to death upon just seeing it in the dark in real life. To me, the characters in this game are somewhat overboard most of the time, but nightmare fredbear still holds to me as the scariest design in the franchise, even more so than nightmare.

well fnaf 1 animatronics are possessed, perhaps they're even the same ones as the withered animatronics but, not as in fnaf 2 is a sequel, it is a prequel but the withered just got either renovated endoskeletons and exoskeletons and became more family friendly looking or the withered got trashed and destroyed and then the puppet took the souls of the kids and placed them into fnaf 1 pizzeria before it was opened. honestly going off of the dream theory ( i actually have no idea how much things have changed since fnaf 4 release ) the breathing makes sense in context, you see the bully brother popping out of hiding places often, the kid in his dream looking out for dreaming is like he's looking out for the brother's breathing as he's hiding to scare him

For me, this is wholeheartedly the scariest game in the franchise. I discovered FNAF not long after the fourth game came out, and spent a few months binging all of Markiplier's lets plays of it. The first 3 games had little effect on me aside from a spook here and a spook there, but four always stuck. Maybe it's because my bedroom at the time also had blue carpet and two doors but for around a week after this game I was unable to sleep, a constant nagging fear at the back of my mind that even though it clearly wasn't real... something had to be watching me. Something was just out of sight approaching, determined to rip me to shreds. The Classics were alright. The Toys could get uncanny. The Withereds were badass. The Phantoms were lame. but the Nightmares... the Nightmares gave *me* nightmares. They'll always be my favorites.

I sort-of agree, but only because I just think Springtrap is the main character of this series (especially the first “era” of FNAF from 1-5) when it comes down to it. That doesn’t mean that Freddy isn’t a main character though. Freddy has had the most versions of himself in each game with different gameplay from the others, and the fact that Golden Freddy (other than Springtrap and arguably the puppet) is the most important FNAF character of all time. FNAF 1 Freddy was the most dangerous and scary character on later nights with his door gameplay. He was also characterized as a major, intelligent threat unlike the other animatronics. He hid in the darkness and didn’t have a chance of making it to your door until night 4, reaffirming him as somewhat of the “boss” of the other Fnaf 1 animatronics. In FNAF 2, Toy Freddy and Withered Freddy are the only two animatronics that creep up to the door and come in randomly. So In that regard- Freddy’s have their own special gameplay mechanic from the rest of the band trio. Golden Freddy also can come from almost anywhere. I’d say that point of FNAF 2 was to introduce the puppet as the biggest major character (it’s one of the 3 major animatronics of the series pulling the strings, and it is officially the protector of the animatronics). Freddy just wasn’t meant to shine here like FNAF 1, but they still made space for him to be different and taken seriously. FNAF 3 is one of the two games I’d say where this is the case, but Springtrap/William Afton is the protagonist of the series. I also think it means something that this is one of the most infamous fnaf games since people was really upset about the other animatronics just being un-creative and lazy. FNAF 4 is the other game where Freddy isn’t the focus, but Funtime Freddy stood out from the rest on multiple occasions. This story was about Elizabeth’s death/possession of Circus baby, and Michael Afton. After Circus Baby got kicked out of Enard by the others- Funtime Freddy became the new leader of the animatronic group. He was also revealed in the books to also have a child inside of his stomach cavity. Skip all the way to Fnaf Security Breach, Freddy and Gregory are the main characters. Freddy is the leader of the band and was given such a unique role, spotlight, and sentience compared to the other animatronics.

Funfact: According to the Cutting Room Floor there is actually unused code for removing the locks on the box after beating 20-mode. However, it still doesn't open and the rest of the scene is the same with it never opening. We finally found the keys, but...there is nothing in there and because the mystery was officially abandoned, we won't ever know if there ever was anything there. Some things are better left forgotten. When it comes to the bite, I will forever stay with the idea that this is a seperate bite and the bite of meme legend occured on Jeremy's dayshift in the events of Fnaf2, which is why he was replaced by another person who was fired the next day.

honestly, i get the whole "overdoing the scare factor" thing, youre absolutely right. but honestly it wasnt really the animatronic designs that freaked me out as a kid; it was the environment. what made fnaf 4 the scariest game for me was the fact that the setting is in a *home.* in a friggin BEDROOM (nevermind my bedroom has an extremely similar setup as the fnaf 4 bedroom). the environment left me feeling violated of my safety, it was fine to have these characters at a distance, some fake old pizzeria, but now they felt too close to home (pun intended). and that scared the ever loving HELL out of me as a kid lol sorry for long post, love the video!!!

I think fnaf started with the intention that it was a small scenario (some guy killed a bunch of kids and now they are haunting everyone), to a much larger scene (William Afton, Afton Robotics, remnant, all the stuff in the books). and the things to be forgotten are the loopholes in the first few games that would restrict expanding the story

Which they didn’t actually understand that the FNaF 4 minigames were still in 1983, and actually before possibly the MCI, but definitely before the later events of FNaF 2 in 1987 and especially the Bite of 87), being scary (even though it’s survival horror), or even them wanting to dismissed it as “not scary”. For me this game is s tier being the first FNAF I ever played scared the shit outta me when I was a little shit and still actively scares the shit out of me and the character design is so much different it brought a nice twist to the gameplay visuals and also to the story.

Scott confirmed that it is the bite of 83, not 87.

I really love this game for some reason. Maybe it's because of how fun and scary the mechanics are, or how the audio and atmosphere is really amazing.

The bite is the bite of '83... crying child clearly dies (his entire head was crushed), whereas Phone Guy comments "its amazing the human body can live without the frontal lobe"

Dream Theory has always been my own theory. I do feel like the child is either dreaming this or had head trauma & is hullucinating these images. Idk if the child was injured at Freddys by an animatronic or car wreck etc. But dreaming def could be why this child is in a home, in bed with medical equipment, seeing scary images.

Just a particularly infamous piece of NSFW material at the time. I wouldn't go much deeper into it, it's really not worth looking at.

Also, for anyone who generally hates Matt Patt. He doesn’t actually believe half his theories. His thing is that he’ll present theories that some people believe or theories that people could come to themselves because it’s fun to think about things.
@insertjokeh3r34 жыл бұрын
Thats not really why people hate him. It’s that when fnaf came out he abandoned his old audience along with it’s higher quality content and went full corporate family friendly youtube content along with maybe one or two other things.
@pkmaster49884 жыл бұрын
@@insertjokeh3r3 thats not true at all lol. Those same people ASKED him to do Fnaf theories. He had millions of people asking him to do them. Those are not valid reasons to hate a person just because he does videos that millions of his fans asked him to do

@@pkmaster4988 Honestly matpat situation is pretty simple. Matpat was originally some average youtuber who likes making theories. After encountering FNaF and the theories was successful (in viewership and financially), obviously people will ask more. FNaF helps his channel skyrocketed, of course it will give big impression to his heart. So he keeps making FNaF theories (coincidentally the game also produced pretty fast). However, recently, any theories for games except FNaF was kinda rejected. I think other games community (especially Triple A) were more elitist than the FNaF community in terms of theories. But that's not the only thing, because sometimes matpat also comes with the promise of spectacular and mind blowing explanation, while actually sometimes he's missing some facts and even downright wrong. Also because he's popular, popular people easier to get haters.
@lmao16604 жыл бұрын
@@incogniftoar3943 damn. But I wonder with Deltarune pt.2 released will there be theories? I hope so.
@The_Nocturnal_Raven3 жыл бұрын
My beef with mat is his laziness, especially with the dark souls 3 vids. He chose to cover something widely known, so not even a new theory, and didn’t bother to research the characters properly, as evidenced by him mistaking patches with siegward. It just screams of not even trying to make it right.

@SilverRagaire3 жыл бұрын
For the bite of 83 vs 87 debate, I never thought that this was 87 just because it contradicted the “they used to walk around during the day, but then the bite...” line from FNaF 2.
