Im honestly not a fan of this route of "scp" like documentation, like its a found anomaly. When the backrooms started to become more popular there was a game which had an intro sequence which I liked way more as an explanation. I don't quite remember it and it is hard to find nowadays because the games all share the same name but it was something around the lines of: "We live in a simulation. We are pawns in a world that doesn't really exist. Still we live our lives day by day. The simulation is perfect for the most part but sometimes strange things and behaviours can be observed. Sometimes people just disappear, never to be seen again. This might be because people ran off in search of a new live. Maybe it is darker and they have been kidnapped. However in some very rare occasions something different makes them disappear. Some unlucky individuals encounter a bug in the simulation, which makes them noclip outside of our worldy boundaries. They end up in a disconnected place, a buggy mess where the simulation fails at building normal Environments. Everything is randomly put together, trying to at least give you the feeling of a known place. But in the end, non of it is how it should be and moreover, non of it is stable and safe. These are what we call... the Backrooms" Something around these lines, trued to do my best to keep the narration of it but I like this lore way more tbh

13:22 that pop up was for a scrapped tutorial in doc Mitchell's house. If you pick up the skull above his fireplace, that same pop up will appear. Another thing: the "emergency mask" Drbosch is wearing does not exist. The closest thing I could find was the "makeshift mask" but that item is from fallout 3. He was also able to get a Chinese pistol and assault rifle, those weapons are from fallout 3 and are unobtainable in fallout New Vegas.

It's the kind of video that is both creppy but also comfy. There's certain familiarity in all the games you used to play as a kid, but going back to them now, when they're just empty, without anybody around... Yeah it is oddly weird feeling. I feel like this might be one of those things thats starting to be forgotten: Scratch (or Old Scratch) is another name for the Devil. Like, the Devil from the Bible. He's literally the knight's inner demon, or possibly an outside influence making him do evil. The biblical Devil is also intertwined with snakes/serpents in some cases. Outlandish thoughts: Further, if the 'thing' that's stated to have slipped into the 2000s game is the Devil, (and this is a reach I know) and the game is about creativity, we could say... the Devil is in the details. Perfection IS the enemy of creativity. The desire to perfect details in projects will kill them.

This was incredibly well done, I was fully convinced this was a real game until the "unfiction film" part at the end; I was honestly expecting there to be a link in the description to a download! And even then I still went to Google to see if the game existed. Throughout the video I was thinking "Man, how could would it be to see this remade" and only when the game "crashed and the data was overwritten" was I a little skeptical. But from the perspective of "there's no way he wouldn't make a backup of this game when the devs said not even they had one"; rather than doubting the game's existence! Truly phenomenal work!

I own a working copy of 3D Dinosaur Adventure (I don't think it was a rare game at the time.) There's a DOOM clone you can access apart from the other educational games where you roam around in a 3D museum, separated by the three eras, and it's a very tense game. Even though the featured game isn't real, which makes me sad, the DOOM clone in 3D Dinosaur Adventure was about finding all the dinosaurs roaming around, putting their DNA into pods, and putting them into a safe place before the meteor hits, which is tracked by a constant timer on the screen. All the sprites are stationary, but after each section is cleared, more enemy sprites show up, making the halls and sections difficult to navigate, because one touch kills you. I would get so stressed out as a little kid trying to play it!

I've gone through dead servers before, I've been someone who said "I'll see you tomorrow" only to never log on again. It happens but it doesn't mean it's not sad. Similar but artificial is the minecraft horror video "I spent 100 days in minecraft's hardest biome" it's entire premise is being alone on an "empty" server and I think it's really well done. Definitely one of the better videos in that kind of genre of minecraft horror
