I can only agree, this is some amazing work you do Michael, in every aspect of your videos. As a newly owner of a phone that's not a slab, well not all the time at least. For a long time I've felt we been treated to a new slab that improves some feature, most often the camera, while downgrading/removing another feature we had come to take for granted. Innovation felt like it was hiding in a witness protection program somewhere until we started to hear of strange, sometimes wonderful, sometimes not, devices that at least someone had dared to risk, to challange what was and asking what else could be? And...you know something? Phones ARE fun again.

Michael's flow in his content is always so satisfying. The scripts are obviously well made. And even though I'm an Android Enthusiast, I still am in awe of how Apple manages to make sure that before they jump in on the trend even if they are years too late, they make sure that its perfected on their end before they implement it. And Michael does a great job of showing and telling his viewers each and everytime so kudos to you Mr. Mobile!

@@Dylan-zm3ht not really, innovation is a different story. Innovation also makes your reputation as a brand. Samsung definitely is that brand. And Apple’s technique of “refinement” before jumping on a trend is wearing off now and showing its cracks and cons. Samsung would still do it better even if Apple does a folding phone that they “refined” because they would mostly get their vital components from Samsung like the screen. Michael was right about Samsung being the future. Their product line is amazing. Even their ecosystem is more pervasive and really makes a smart home. The upcoming foldable from Apple in the future wouldnt be able to dethrone the huge dominance of Samsung foldables. Samsung already has a reputation for it and is now known for making foldables that the competition could not even compare to because they are always atleast 1-2 years behind Samsung when it comes to technology and refinement.
@Dylan-zm3ht
@Dylan-zm3ht 2 жыл бұрын
@@SeoWoojin55 You’re out of your mind if you think apple simply hops on trends. They spend way more than samsung on r&d. They wait to perfect things and don’t release the items until they are ready. Which is why they haven’t had an exploding phone or features that get removed after a year. Samsung produces apples parts to apples specs. That’s why apples storage and ram is better than what’s even in Samsung phones 😂 You don’t seem to understand the difference between Samsung contract manufacturing and their phone business. Apple phones have faster cpus, ram and storage than any samsung devices. Apple phones have better cameras, better video. Samsung has gimmicks. Their 8k video is terrible, their 100x zoom is pointless. The 12 gb of ram is pointless. But it impressed people with simple minds. Samsung also doesn’t innovate that much. Most of the innovation is coming from Chinese brands like Xiaomi , Vivo, Oppo, Oneplus.

As I said in my overly-long post. When Michael bought his 3G, Apple was innovating to try to gain a real foothold in the cell phone market. At that time, BlackBerry was Apple! The CrackBerry was used by EVERYONE! The point being, will Apple innovate or will they sit on their laurels until its too late to understand nobody wants a physical keyboard anymore? Time will tell.

@@chriss1757 You do know there are different sales targets for "successfulness", right? That's econ 101 type shit. Toyota may create a successful vehicle by selling 8 million, while another company finds their profitability and success mark at 4 million. Also, iPhones and foldables are 2 completely different phones. I thought that was obvious?

The one thing I’ll say about lightning ports on the iPhone is they are extremely durable. Because they’re male only connectors (don’t have an internal male receiver like usb c) they can be heavily strengthened and don’t have anything inside the port to get loose. Usbc ports are a lot less durable especially when you drop the phone while it’s plugged in. It’s almost impossible to destroy an iPhones lightning port

A lot of people forget it's not a 120hz Display like most android phones, it's a variable 10hz-120hz display which is actually innovative. That's one of the reasons the battery life is amazing. Being able to reduce the refresh rate when not needed makes it a battery saver in comparison to the higher battery usage of Samsung's 120hz f. ex.

I never had to wait in line for the 13 Pro, I just showed up to the 5th Avenue store straight after work at 6 AM. I liked the much better battery life and 120hz display. The cameras were secondary (IBIS was interesting to me as I also have a Sony Alpha A7 II) and everything else was not even on my mind. So far I'm liking it far more than any Android phone I've had so far (still awaiting the Pixel 6 Pro to retire my Pixel 2 XL and the 5A can go to a family member).

It’s interesting how perspective dictates everything. I’ve always wanted the form factor of the Samsung fold, but after using it, it lacks the power to do anything meaningful for me. I’m uninspired by the iPhone design, but it’s so much more functional for doing resource intensive things.

Agreed, I returned the Fold 3 for the same reason. That and the awkward aspect ratio when it’s folded open. Watching video on the giant screen with huge black bars on the top and bottom just makes the whole experience of having that big screen moot.
@BassMastaKeysie
@BassMastaKeysie 2 жыл бұрын
@@The6ixGun that was my reservation as well. I’d probably have sprung for it and enjoyed the form factor if the compromises weren’t there. As it stands, you only get marginally more screen space over a phone like the Pro Max or the S21 Ultra for things like video watching due to the aspect ratio, and you have inferior cameras, no dust resistance, a chonkier frame, things like that. That being said, the Flip almost (almost) swayed me, but I wanted the absolute best camera for memories of my newborn son.

Nah, it's just that smartphones have reached a point in their development lifecycle where that's basically the only thing that significantly changes with each new generation aside from the primary SOC/chip used. 🤷 We're hitting the same point we saw with laptops in the early-mid 2010's. The core hardware is basically just a "solved problem" at this point, whereas the cameras can still always get noticably better.

A little hilarious about the minute keyboard bug at the end there as that’s just a bug (I had on the beta but haven’t seen on sense I upgraded). Agree with the News app. What gives Apple!?!?! I get nothing I want in there; only what they force feed me (wasn’t always like that). And dude, the algorithm in photos is amazing for me; the receipt thing was funny, but from a bonafide user, the Memories and short montages the phone makes for me using my vids are spot on. The level of the quality of the script really has a dictating power on the quality of the video. Mr Mobile is an example of how well you can do that.

I still chuckle when someone mentions foldables as being the future and look back to my 9 days with the Z Fold2 before I sent it back and got my hard earned 2 grand back.

Apple products are excellent at a specific number of tasks. For everything else, the platform is so far up its own ass, I can't stand dealing with the shortcomings.

Yes, the iPhone is for people that just want the main features done really well. Android is for gimmicks and for stuff few people care about apart from some YT comments!

Apple is lagging 4-5 years behind Android phones in innovation...the "new features" they are hyping I've had on Android devices since 2017. It's incredible millions of people still buy the same exact Iphone with a slightly better camera year after year 🤣

I’m still rocking an iPhone 11. Before this I was buying a new android flagship every year it was ridiculous. Then I got the 11 thinking I’d do the same with Apple phones but here I am, I love this phone and I’m gonna use it til it doesn’t work anymore. It’s more reliable then any android I’ve ever had and it’s still snappy and quick to open apps no matter what like it was when I first got it. Looks like the next big “WOW!” iPhone we get is coming September 2023 so hopefully it lasts that long fingers crossed 🤞

I’d say it’s important to acknowledge the tech in the latest iPhone objectively. We’d all be blown away if shown it back in 2008. We’d be just as amazed by the folding devices. But saying that the current iPhone is somehow ‘less’ because it lacks a folding feature isn’t apt. It is an unexciting iterative improvement over the iPhone 12, but an astonishing technical marvel compared to the iPhone 4. Apples still moving in an exciting direction

The thing with Apple`s iPhone is like a coffee (for coffee fans). Only the first sip is the greatest one. Another coffee during the day ... is average. Every year we look for this great taste of coffee but only the first sip is premium.
