I just finished the game, best game both ost and game. First time I have the experience with msx and I already fell in love with the console. Great gameplay, I'm from Brazil 😎👊🏻🇧🇷

MSX is a computer platform, but yes, it's awesome. :) You should play games like The Maze of Galious and Penguin Adventure on MSX1, and Space Manbow and Aleste 2 on MSX2.

So many great MSX games we never got to see here in the UK which is a great shame. I loved my MSX computer but the majority of games here were badly ported Speccy releases on tape.

Oh my god, the Spectrum ports on the MSX. There's so many of them (200+) and many of them are bad, making MSX1 feel less capable than it really is. I blame these ports for preventing MSX being more of a success in the West, but who knows what the real reason was. There was a lot of competition in the microcomputer market back then.

@@TheMSXChannel absolutely. My parents bought my MSX for Christmas 1984. Until I saw Konami’s wonderful Nemesis cartridge I wasn’t that impressed. But Konami’s support of the MSX platform was amazing. Such a shame they were so hard to get in the UK - it was either mail order or if you were lucky, there was a specialist retailer nearby you could pop into.

Yeah the Speccy ports dragged the system down a bit but at least the vast majority of them were ran at playable speeds unlike a lot of ZX ---> CPC ports.

Sick goin on a series sweep now quick, got the Xbox 1 Aliens, X360 Aliens vs. Predator, SNES one from 90s and Atari Jag Alien vs. Pred, the excellent Wayforward DS one Infestation...the rest of these guys I'll have to emulate to try like this one with music by the great Uematsu!

The music of stage 3 seems very inspired by that of Metal Gear Solid although I’m not sure which game came out earlier.

Technical limitation of the MSX1 hardware. You can only have one color per sprite. You can have more colors by putting more single-color sprites on top of each others, but that would cause flickering and other performance issues.
