Check out the Sanhedrin 43a, Pliny the Youngers letters 112AD Book 10 Letter 96, Emperor Trajans response Book 10 Letter 97. Within Islam there is no going around it - Isa wasn’t crucified. Within the reality of the world “Yeshu” was executed for “apostasy and causing idol worship”. Followers of Christ sang hymns to him after his death “like to a God” and they were persecuted if they didn’t “worship Roman/other gods” and denounce Christ. If Jesus rebuked Peter for suggesting that he should prevent his death before he even entered Jerusalem. If Jesus was aware he would be killed and said he would raise himself up, it doesn’t make sense to then accept someone else taking his place. His asking for the cup to pass isn’t a contradiction to this foreknowledge notion either. It is suggested that he allowed the spirit of the enemy to enter Judas. Christ accepts his fate and asks for reassurance that it truly is the time as he knew it to be. I believe he was more worried about his followers and disciples being persecuted for his name, aware of the pain to come but steadfast in his mission. With full context the verse denying crucifixion cannot ever be reconciled. If Jesus didn’t say “get behind me Satan” after Peter suggested he should prevent his death - then the SIN regarding substitution would carry much more weight

Brother Muhammad, I agree with the guest here. The layman seeing this video will perceive you as running away from his question (i'm 10:01 into the video). Have the courtesy to answer his question but before you do, tell him why his priorities are wrong because A, B, C and then after you answer his question, you segway it to the more important question he should have asked (trinity). Pontius Pilate supposedly gave the people the option to choose between Jesus The Messiah son of God and Jesus The Messiah son of the father (Barabbas). But that's literary theatrics. Historically, the Roman empire had zero tolerance for rebellious uprisings and sentenced anyone to death, especially if it involved killing Roman soldiers. Furthermore, the described names almost seem to refer to one person (as the bible also describes the son of Mary as the son of the father/man)! Barabbas was a Jewish rebel/freedom fighter who killed Roman soldiers to start an uprising and reclaim the area under Israelite rule. He was notorious enough for the local Israelites to call him 'the Messiah'. His first name was ALSO Jesus - many Christians don't even know this! The disciples didn't attend the crucifixion nor did any writer of the Bible. The first fragments of the Bible, the size of a creditcard, are 350+ years after Jesus son of Mary's supposed death. The Quranic verse also doesn't speak in the moment of it happening, it speaks about those coming after and claiming 'X' happened. Allah confirms that 'X' did NOT happen and those arguing in favor of it didn't have the knowledge of it (most likely referring to the writers making up stories).

What dismantles his argument? Christ prophesied on six occasions that he'd be killed by the Jewish Leaders and would rise again after three days. The witnesses of the time saw these events unfold. Even non biblical sources from Jewish and Roman historians record that Christ was crucified. Look at Tacitus who was well known for his dislike of Christians who said the the leader of the Christians Christos received the " ultimate penalty under the Roman Procurator Pontius Pilate". The ultimate penalty for non Roman citizens was death by crucifixion. You need to understand that the Quran has no eye witnesses to any biblical events. It came along 650 years after Christ and in a Court of Law is hearsay evidence.

If you DON"T see the Second Temple which was the major role for the Law of Moses. That means the Old Covenant is outdated because of the sacrificial system ended due to Jesus' sacrifice rendering the priests from the Tribe of Levi unnecessary. Jesus said he came to fulfill the Law, the Prophets and the Psalm for the New Covenant so that the dead can resurrected which took place in the future. Also, Jesus said that the John the Baptist was the LAST PROPHETS, not Muhammad. Luk 24 44 Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that *everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled*.” Luk 16 16-17 “The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone forces his way into it. I read Hebrews 5 now, the entire Chapter is saying *God* gave Jesus(AS) the ability to be a priest, a spiritual leader, and he did not choose it himself. *God* is the one who gives it. It says *God* saved Jesus(AS) life, and he was extremely grateful and obedient. It says again, *God* gave Jesus(AS) the position of “forever priest, in the order of Melchizedek.” It makes a clear distinction between *God* and Jesus(AS), meaning they are not the same being. It makes a clear hierarchy between *God* and Jesus(AS), as God is the one who saves him, who gives him blessings, guidance and the spiritual title of a priest. And Jesus(AS) cannot choose or do this on his own, but is only grateful towards *God,* and following the will of *God.* And it makes a clear statement that Jesus(AS), is given the same blessing as another human named “Melchizedek”. Meaning they are humans, and Jesus(AS) is an example out of various humans, that *God* gave his mercy, blessings and guidance and spiritual leadership.

The only reason why the shroud of Turin is significant is because it aligns with the description of the crucified person in the bible . But the thing is we Muslims believe whoever was crucified is not jesus ( because God clearly said that in his scripture, and we can prove that this is coming from God ) This argument is very weak because there is no way to verify that it actually is jesus pbuh and secondly this piece of cloth was carbon dated to like 750 years ago ,which is like 1250 years after jesus . So it's either some piece of cloth made by some Christians 750 years ago or this piece of cloth can be of anyone because crucifixion was a common roman punishment so it could be of someone else Basically there is no way to verify the link between the shroud of turin and jesus pbuh

To be honest, I believe the man was genuinely seeking the truth. With more patience and a logical discussion, without resorting to sarcasm regarding his religion, I feel that Allah would have opened his heart to Islam through a rational argument. He even says it in 9:20 that "God the Father rose him from death", which means that once again Jesus needed God to raise him from death. Doesn't say that Jesus caused himself to die or raise himself from death. Also, the vast inconsistencies of the resurrection of Jesus in the 4 gospels should tell you that they are NOT honest accounts of history. Start with the fact that Jesus was resurrected on the 3rd day part: Jesus "dies" on Friday and is resurrected Sunday (that's only 2 days later).

Yes and also a sacrifice is supposed to be holy and done on a unblemished animal. This whole story goes against the very ritual or rules of sacrifice. How can something be a sacrifice when the person is expected to come back alive again. The sacrifice is supposed to make you feel it and miss the person and not that you know that the person comes back alive. That's why the story of Jesus's supposed resurrection is pin pointed to the story of Jonah where he was in the belly of the fish and did not die. Basically you would expect the person to die but if Jesus hints this then it shows that what he was going to do was not a sacrifice but rather a challenge that he will not die which goes against the teachings of pauline christianity.
