Would you please give some tips on the deep sand flat turn. Especially When when your line goes crossing all the small sand ruts cut by another riders.
@fatbatster863 жыл бұрын
My two cents...Pay no attention to the ruts. Look past the ruts to where you want to go, feet on the pegs, butt off the seat, and get on the gas! Body english is your friend - be active on the bike. You need to stay up on top of the sand as much as possible so you have to be accelerating or maintaining some speed. Sand is like instant brakes so stay on the gas as much as possible, even if you have to back off to make the turn. Think of it like riding in a boat or a jet ski, you need to be up on plane and under power to have the most control. Ride on, my friend.

Definitely need a video for cornering In loose sand. There isn’t a single detailed enough video on KZbin. Would appreciate details like where to sit on the bike (or stand?), body position, throttle. Thank you!
@tdhyogidhfr8082 жыл бұрын
May I explain 2 different things though with this when riding a 4 stroke vs 2 stroke its also different for example if you watch this hes coming into corners braking and then clutching out where as on a 2 stroke like a 125 you want to either go wide and keep power or come in and make the rear slide lean to the inside of the corner then give power it will allow your bike to lose traction so you can give the bike power lean out and take off I only say this as I ride a 2 stroke bike this tutorial is a good tutorial btw but I wanted to chuck my aspect in aswell. Cheers

Thanks for all the awesome tips been riding a while but still always learn something. Unfortunately I can’t ride for a while, just got in a bad wreck and broke my pelvis in 5 places, my hip, and my tail bone!
@jfuqua724 жыл бұрын
It’s the fundamentals of physics. Apply the weight perpendicular to the wheel surface. Acceleration when your middle tire knobs have contact to the surface. The more vertical the surface you are riding against, the more speed and centripetal force needed to maintain contact to that surface.

What about really soft turns without a well defined rut or berm? I race hare scrambles and we'll have super soft soil but when 300 guys have gone through it 8 times each and there isn't really well defined ruts or berms, do you treat it like a flat hard packed turn?

It all depends on the ground there are so many ways to do it but it all depends on the traction you ride on. Sandtrack example is way diffrent than a hardpack.
