One of my favorite memories is being able to enjoy my great grandmother who lived to 102. The stories and history she would tell me was better then any book or tv show. I could listen to her for hrs. I live in a very large farming community now and take fresh produce and eggs to our local elderly. They to have so much knowledge and stories, they absolutely love telling and teaching. It's ashame many elderly don't have anybody to tell their stories to. We should consider our elderly as priceless possessions. And cherish them.

It's very interesting how our noses and ears keep growing, as our lips and eyebrows thin out. I am also reminded of a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt: Beautiful young people are accidents of nature; beautiful old people and works of art.

I don't get it why noses change so much & why ears grow?
@nicolarollinson43812 жыл бұрын
I couldn't help but look at their noses and ears, but I never previously thought about the lip factor. Marie Bruešová was utterly stunning when younger and a product of nature, at 101....or of blessed bone structure or she always had something to smile about. No sagging around her mouth or chin 🤔
@nicolarollinson43812 жыл бұрын
@@veronicadamico7976 maybe it has something to do with hearing loss and breathing, as we age. A built in design feature.
@patriciagiles58332 жыл бұрын
They don't actually grow. The rest of the face loses volume- the combination of loss of facial bone mass, tooth loss, buccal fat pad loss and loss of the collagen frame work beneath the skin that leads to wrinkles, hollowing, sagging and inelasticity, so it only appears that the more cartilaginous structures of the nose and ears grew larger in contrast.

This gave me such sadness, time is so cruel and passes by so fast. We remain young in our souls but unfortunately the body doesn’t and sometimes it’s very difficult to deal with it😔😭

The saving grace is as we get older. We are more ready to accept moving on to the next phase. I know there is Heaven because of my faith in Jesus. I am not afraid of death. Aging is the hard part. And seeing loved ones pass. I’m more afraid of what leads up to death, but I know He will be with me.
@jennifermcdonald54323 жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree with you, age is incredibly cruel! It’s so very hard to deal when your body lets you down. The only up side I can see is being old and getting older is so much better than the alternative!
@corirubinsteinkatz44853 жыл бұрын
I too found this profoundly sad… especially the elderly beautiful woman whose wish it was merely to die. Behind every lovely line in these faces I am sure is a story to be shared. How nice it would be to give them a platform from which to tell their stories, and not be just a witness to their transformed faces.
