HR-50 is also a IR sensitive film when used with a R72 IR filter, you shoot at two stops less. ADOX also recommend development with their HR-Dev which increases the speed to iso 50 at least. I use this in my Olympus PEN f which is a half frame camera and can print much larger than you would normally expect. Thank you for the review.

I slit it and use it in my Minox subminiature cameras. It’s currently the best film I’ve tried and I’ve tested many.

The ADOX datasheet for this film report that D76 development is not recommended... Where do you get the manufacturer’s recommended time for D76 development? 😀

Should’ve asked three years ago. I don’t remember anything about it now

There is dedicated developer for this film to get more pictorial look, HR-DEV.

What doesn’t come across in the video, at least it’s not emphasised, is whether there is anything smoother out there. Also, with no grain, it must be hard to retouch

I use for Architecutral Photography. it is very high contrast. I am super Happy about it . But for me not for portraits . again it is very high contrast. but can be good for artistic approach. hope Cms 20 will be the next. Cheers to all BW film lovers !!!

Why would you compare the same film?

How do you determine their true film speed?
@TheNakedPhotographer8 ай бұрын
I use a device called a sensitometer to expose a set of very specific density patches that I read on another device called a densitometer and plot their density/exposures on a graph and use the ISO method for calculating film speed based off this curve and specific density points. This method is explained in the Kodak Sensitometry Workbook and my companion video series on the topic.

It's a copy film? I thought CMS was the copy film and this - a pre-flashed aviphot... Now I'm confused. Nevertheless, a nice film for a specific use-case.

I've read that Rollei retro was Aviphot 80, funny that a lot of people claim Adox Silvermax is the old Agfapan 100, got to be something in what you're saying regarding HR50? Is this old Agfapan 25 I wonder?
@6hr0n05 Жыл бұрын
@@tonyhirst3628 nope its not. there are a few comparisons online. Those two films respond differently in terms of contrast.

I’ve read many times that aviphot 80 was repackaged as rpx 25 and retro 80s and hr50
