How hard is it to learn violin? I've thought about taking lessons. I already know how to play clarinet and piano.
@sunnyduan61897 жыл бұрын
Hey! Coincidence eh? I play the violin, piano and clarinet as well. Violin is by far the most technically challenging instrument to play, however, with your knowledge of the clarinet and piano and musical understanding, it is so easy to pick up another instrument. I learnt the piano and the violin up to a descent standard, then i picked up a clarinet, and i found i could skip all the way to Grade 5 with ease! (not sure where you come from but in the UK musical instrument have grades).

trust me you won't get pieces like the one above until many years later!1

Sunny Duan In Canada, we go by RCM grades. I got up to level 8 clarinet, and I'm currently working at level 7 piano. I've never learned a string instrument before, and I thought violin would be a good start.

I don't know where you got your information on this video's info, but to deduce impressionist composers to level of greedy, cultural appropriating consumerists is not just misleading, but a complete misinterpretation of this art. Debussy, at the very least, had visited other lands and took great fascination with other cultures than his own, as did the rest of those composers on fascination. Is it bad that they took influence in any sort? Even if indirect, I would still want to pay tribute to what style I got the idea from, as opposed to attempting to call it my own. And on the topic of indirect influence, this piece, in my opinion, displays a genuinely nice interpretation of how someone from a completely different culture, and way of approaching melodic and harmonic ideas, would express one self through sounds new to them.

The English translation of the piece as entitled by Fritz Kreisler " tambourin" is totally erratic. Like the playing as well. Tambourin Chinois, Op. 3, known in English as Chinese Tambourine or Chinese Drum, is a piece by composer Fritz Kreisler for Violin and Piano. It is one of his most well-known pieces behind his Old Viennese Melodies and Praeludium and Allegro.[1] Chinese tambourine is the appropriate translation in English. None has surpassed Kreisler himself in the interpretation of that piece. I do not know who is playing, but the bow is way too heavy. It lacks finesse.
