Ladies, THANK YOU for your THRU THE HEDGE videos. too many canal vloggers stick to the canals themselves too rigidly and forget about the sights and history of this wonderful UK countryside within easy distances of the canals. You certainly do a great job of your canal tripping, but personally I prize these THRU THE HEDGE videos even more because they seem to be more of the exception instead of the rule. Heck, many times you don't even need to go THRU any hedge just to see (and pause to focus on) some of the wonderful buildings right on the canal side. MORE!!!

Well now I know what the view from the castle looks like. I was there on a hire boat holiday with my late wife about 20 years ago and had the pleasure of making it all the way to the headwaters of the Llangollen canal. As it was peak summer season we were lucky enough to find a spot to moor for a couple of hours. It was vacated by a lovely family from Formby that we later bumped into in Whitchurch. While in LLangollen we did get to Horseshoe Falls and into town but there was no time for the hike up to the castle. Living in Canada I have lovely people like yourselves to remind me of what a charming place the UK is to visit. Thank you.

arvellous litte doco that really brought back memories. Over 60 years ago, we went on family hplidays to Llangollan A climb to the castle was a must, the railway was still operating with steam trains from Wrexham, aw water driven grain mill was still operating on the town side of the bridge over the river (now a gift shop) and there was a weekly cattle market. The horse drawn boat to the falls was opwrating even then. Well, you did it, you finally made me cry..

Hi Ladies. I like the shot of Kath silouetted at 2:17. I did chuckle the amount of time it took you both to get to the top. It's not important but maybe you should write to the National Trust to ask them to re-evaluate their time estimate! I agree the stone track will be difficult under foot. Good video blog Ladies! Actually there are more than 3 TOP places around Llangollen. Some people think 'I've never heard of a place such as Valle Crucis Abbey before, I wonder if that's a tourist attraction near Llangollen?'' and although it's a slight distance away from the town itself, just walk north of the canal feeder and you will then see the abbey just off the main road on your right! Entry to the abbey is £14 or £15 per adult if I get it right.

That was lovely and one of my favourites. Are you heading to Crick for the boat show this year? The good news is a photographer took some decent photographs of the dogs today so hopefully I will get my water colour. I did try to get a photo but the naughty dogs keep jumping at me and the pictures are terrible. Thankfully a young girl (12) and keen photographer came to take some pictures of the dogs at the beach today. She said she has some great ones so I have my fingers crossed they’re good enough for Anna Marie to do a great water colour. Thanks for a fantastic video.

As you asked and if he is still trading a place called Glass Blob-be-al (think that how you spell it) is worth a look in an old school building on the Llangollen road. Makes all sort of stuff by blobbing glass together and uses gold, silver, iron and all sorts of metals and alot of other stuff for the colouring, and sits there for you to watch when he is doing it, Very clever guy. Did you get it right? Well, you got railways, that's close enough to right for me! And you got canals, rivers, architecture, history, castles, food, writers, landscapes (cats were covered in the opening title sequence); only other interests of mine which weren't in there were kites, UFOs, and space rockets. Dang I'd like if my health and income allowed visiting other countries, especially the UK, so much there I'd like to see. My health is such a mess now with several neurological, endocrine, mitochondrial, and musculoskeletal, things happening (on top of autism) that I'm no longer good for driving even the 50 mile round trip from our midwestern county seat farm burg to the closest city. Hence I _deeply_ appreciate KZbin being there to offer the opportunity, and your taking advantage of it to produce these videos. All of y'all narrowboaters who I watch, it would be nice if I could show up in person to look y'all in the eyes and say thank you for taking the time and hassle, and expense, to produce these videos, that and all y'all are appreciated.

That must've been one helluva fire to destroy a stone castle to that degree. I am assuming a lot of it has to do with weathering and stone removal, but still, an impressive fire. When I visit ruins like that, not that there's a lot in my part of the world, I often wonder about the lives of the ordinary people who lived there. We hear all about the 'great and powerful' but not s much about those who made it possible for the 'great and powerful' to sustain their lifestyle. Lovely video, great top three. :)
