I have to say I'm really enjoying the lighter and not so professional side of your YT work. It's more than enough to enjoy and it's a mile better than anything I could ever do. Being in front of a camera for starts! Cruisingthecut did lead me to you (thanks chap!) after he did a tour of your boat. I'm guessing that he's the one who led you to the nappy idea (although he did go to the massive expense (yes I'm a parent) of pampers as opposed to more sensibly priced own brand... lol ) ... Onwards ... :o)

Oops... I was referring to the real life unscripted approach rather than the grade of equipment I swear... lol

You say unfortunately and others saying enjoyably ... nice to see a couple enjoying themselves :o) Due to be married ourselves on the 24th of this month ... 14 years but we got there. Nothing worth putting on You Tube mind ... lol

Speaking of that "Other" channel, I discovered that if they call you "crew" when you come aboard you're working. The key is to get them to call you a guest, which I've only seen them do once.

I'm a mechanic and when I was working in workshops we used cat litter to soak up the oiler it works quick and is cheaper than nappies

Carbon monoxide detector should be at a lower level. By the time it reaches the detector it's too late. It should be placed lower than the bed.
@TheNarrowboatExperience6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for you comment but I fitted the detector in line with the instruction guidelines. It needed to be a certain distance from the fire and within a certain distance from the ceiling. I looked it up again to clarify and apparently they can be fitted near the floor or the ceiling as carbon monoxide has a similar density to air.
@aquaholicsuk88736 жыл бұрын
The Narrowboat Experience logically it would make sense to have it lower than where you sleep. Early detection is always a better option. I have just come back from my course and we were told a story of two elderly women losing their lives whilst asleep although they had a detector. The detector was placed higher than their sleeping position. If you google "deaths on boat through carbon monoxide" you'll see plenty, including the ones in The Lake District. I have no gain other than share my knowledge with a fellow boater. I have a hire business and have to adhere to stricter rules than private boaters. Please reconsider my concerns, you have taken a positive step to invest and install one. Many don't even know the dangers. In my opinion it should be compulsory!

As proud parents of two beautiful cats have you guys checked out Vancouver Vet? He has a series of practical pet owning videos and one of his favorite maxims is "squish the cat". It's all I could think of when watching you try to coax Alice onto the bed

Well done girls, we will see if the cats adopt their beds, ours never did, plenty of other lovely warm places to nap for hours on end.

Hi ladies, gadday to you, we're still enjoying your videos but if we have only one criticism it would be that we wish you made your videos a little longer. Question! How do you care for your car as we noticed that you still have your motor? Marion & Glenn X

Loved this one. Surprised to see you getting in the engine bay with 'good' clothes on as opposed to overalls..... If that was me I'd be covered in oil and grease in no time. Take care....
