The roller guards have been a life saver during covid! So many rinks don’t allow locker rooms dressing so I dress my little brother at home and have him roll into the rink. They work really well if you put the back strap super tight and high on the back then press the front end on before putting them on your kids feet. We had the fall off issue before adjusting the back strap and now they work beautifully even with bumps,cracks, inclines, declines, curb steps, etc

These came in real handy this past season with Covid for my son to get across the parking lot every practice. The truck became the locker room this year and suiting up full tilt including skates had to be done before entering the barn. Sometimes he had to travel the distance of a football field to get into the door. Other than that... yeah, they are a novelty, not much more. Has that cool kid appeal too. :P

Funny and practical review. I have to say, 7:22 I have watched 100x and it is still funny as F. Thank you for the humor and hopefully not hurting yourself. They need to incorporate an OVER THE SKATE rubber band to keep these on. PATENTED do not use. For product testing, this is a FAIL!

Working a 8 Rinks in Burnaby B.C during covid I feel these things have been amazing for the kids when it comes to entering the rink! as with the new rules most kids are getting changed before entering the rink. I see a ton of them on theses coming from there car and costing to the ice. So I can definitely see a good use for them now. :)

I know a lot of places don't allow any form of wheeled shoe indoors, I think a better option would be to make a skateguard that acted as a false sole so you could just walk around like you were wearing boots.

You need to make sure the rubber holding the back is extremely tight to the skate I have them and they are amazing

These are meant for getting to a far off rink or some rinks have outdoor rinks that are a hike. With that said, if you want to try to use them for practice, you got to put two zip ties on each end, connecting the attachment to your tuuka/holder. That will keep it on. You just cut the ties when your done.

They wear them when going from the KeyBank Center locker rooms to their practice rink across the street at HarborCenter. I thought that was all those things were supposed to be used for was getting places you couldn't wear your ice skates, not as an actual product to do anything more with.

i put a tiny peice of metal tie wire around one of the rivets and through bottom of skate takes 10 seconds to twist it on and off. never had a issue at all and cant see the tiny wire

$60 is too steep considering you'd need to modify these to make them reliable to even wear them from your car to the rink. Once they fly off on the way to a game your edge is F'd and you'll need to get a sharpening IMMEDIATELY. That highly likely scenario sucks and is probably why they've been out for 10 years but no one has heard of them. That being said and some velcro straps placed either in the middle and or the front/back combo should keep them in place. Removing a velcro strap is super quick and easy (they have a plastic loop end on one side to hook the strap through and go back the opposite direction for tightening). I'm glad he reviewed this WITHOUT getting paid. I can trust that 100% - and he was thorough. For that I have subscribed to your channel and given a thumbs up!

I know everyone now thinks they are bad but they have never come off of my skates while using them and I've had mine for like 2 years and use them everytime before practising or games and I play rep hockey so I will be on the ice 3-5 times per week.
