Nice job uniparty. Couldn't have done it without you.

This is why you don't turn America's public schools into rigid "always follow the rules" corporate conditioning facilities. Also maybe don't burnout literal children with daily homework assignments for 15+ years.

Too much teaching screens and not enough visits to the library.

I worked as a developmental therapist and early literacy specialist in schools for 12 years. Every single person I knew over those 12 years has left teaching. Most of us homeschool our own children. I do. What does that tell you about the state of schools? It's been horrendous for a long time.

Sounds like Trump doesn't care.

Yep, cause the nations youth lost all skills as a result from his first week in office. 😂 Seriously? The fourth graders would have been starting school under Biden. The eighth graders would've had two years at most under Trump due to COVID and school closures. Trump actually does care, so much so he is going to stop the federal government from having their involvement in education. The way it always should have been. Once you throw bureaucracy in the mix nothing gets accomplished.

This is what happens when you only learn pronouns, sex, and radical ideologies in primary school.

This is what happens with social media. Blame TikTok and other social platforms. Those aren’t made for kids and kids have to stop with brain rot content and language. The future of the country is at stake

Substitute teacher for 30 years. There is no interpersonal communication, no oral language use with older kids. They want screens, they fight reading. They😅t write or form a sentence. I see it in high school. Take out sports, focus on education. Give every classroom teacher an aide. No more than 16 students in a class. More paraprofessionals, more resource special ed classrooms. This is just the tip, we have a lot of challenges coming. Too often lessons are all app driven on a laptop. No dialogue, like pulling teeth to get them to engage in free thought expression or input. All they ar focused on is food and getting to use their phone at lunch

I blame the school district because this decade they're not giving kids homework that's why kids are failing these days... The teachers are failing our children Not giving them Homework Just because you don't want to give your child homework that's your parenting skills most of us parents are thinking what is best for each child... These days children are having a hard time reading and doing the math This is America 🇺🇸 We parents have rights

Not true. I never gave my students homework and we ended up having the most advanced students than 5th or 6th grades. Homework is busy work. Makes no difference in ability.

Hell tf no. Do you know how burnt out I am from constant daily homework assignments? You get one chance to be young and schools just push this endless paperwork all the time.

I agree. It took the parents out of it, by not sending work home. After coming to a stark realization of how bad things have gotten while temporarily homeschooling in 2020, I've been homeschooling ever since. My son has ADHD and a speech impediment which he is in therapy to correct. If he had gone to the public , I honestly believe he would have just been passed on. Through all those struggles he has become an amazing reader. He gets compliments all the time on his impressive reading skills, his fluency and accuracy when reading unfamiliar, difficult words. His speech impediment nearly disappears when he reads. He is 9, reading at least at a high-school level. My 11 year old daughter is completely independent study. She can be given a full days work list and have it completed in under 2 hours with little to no errors, and ops to do extra learning assignments and read during her downtime. I wouldn't do it any other way at this point.
