Red Flag 12-3 Mass Launch

Watch as numerous fighters and support aircraft take to the skies at Nellis AFB. The aircraft are participating in Red Flag 12-3, which is a large scale exercise held about 3-4 times a year here in Las Vegas. 12-3 involved the RAF GR4 Tornado, the RAAF F-18's and a first time participant, the MC-12W Liberty out of Beale AFB, Ca.

So sick!!! Notice how the Raptor's f-119 engines are so powerful, that they have an incredible takeoff distance, without a single one having lit its burners. That thing is a monster!!

Tornados are the multirole fighter of the Royal Air Force. The air superiority fighter is the Typhoon.

My brother was stationed at Nellis and he still lives there in the area now works for the FAA. I hope to some time get to come out there and see the take offs my self. about 15 yrs ago he was at Shaw AFB in Sumter SC got some old video of my own of a launch of F-16's and recoveries and got buzzed by a visiting T-38 that was doing touch and go's if I find it and gan get on my computer I will post it

Which Red Flag is the best to attend? I am planning to come next year to at RF through media pass and wondering which is really the best to see a variety of aircraft such as B-1, B-2, E-3, E-8, AV-8B and overall odd stuff?

It's an E-3, which is based off the 707 airframe.

There is, The F/A-18c from the swiss airforce at emmen airbase on 30 feet ahead of you going full afterburner and have some ear damage. :) feeling your eardrumms almost crack and having pain1
