@@tuievans - First, he got pushed out of SlipKnoT because they decided it was the best thing to do. Also; That happened in December 2013, 7 years after David Silveria left KoRn in December 2006, and this video was probably Summer of 2007, so the timeline doesn't really allow for that, as Joey was still right in the thick of SlipKnoT (though, between a tour for Vol.3 and the fourth album). Even Paul Gray was still around. But, I like your suggestion, he would've been great for it. KoRn was something of an influence on him or SlipKnoT as well. Joey has said in interviews that he just ‘knows’ what the drums will sound like on a song before he records anything. Chances are he just asked “what BPM?” And made his own drum beat for this.

He was given the live version drum tracks to listen to prior to the event so he could figure out the breaks (ie crowd interaction parts and breakdowns) every touring band worth the admission of show has a way they play songs on their setlists for each unique tour they're on.... Joey knew this being hes always been the damn headliner to nearly any gig they play. RIP TO THE LEDGEND NJJ!
