Another fantastic video. Your fly fishing videos are the best and I so look forward to each episode. You all are so down to earth and humble fly fishers just having fun. Thanks! Also, It was nice to see a snippet of one of my favorite authors.

Whoa, who decided to put a block on the Orvis logos? They are listed as a sponsor at the start of the show.

Gary, good eye and thanks for mentioning this. Our editor accidentally uploaded the PBS version of the show which had logos covered. PBS does not allow any advertising so we have to cover them. Thanks

Isnt tom from Maine?! I dont believe it about the whole 15 inch brookie thing....
@newflyfisher3 жыл бұрын
He is from Vermont and I can vouch for the fact 15 inches is the biggest Brookie he has caught. Lots of big rainbow and browns, but not a big Brook Trout. He was totally astounded
@matthunt73903 жыл бұрын
@@newflyfisher well I stand corrected.. I bet any respectable fisherman would be as well tho👌 maine, where I am from, still has quite a few amazing fisheries so incorrectly believing tom was from maine, I was hesitant to believe he hadn't seen a 16 incher yet haha

Shane, those brook trout were caught in late July. for some reason, in labrador and northern ontario, some brook trout take on their bright spawning colours early. spawn does not happen until late september in both locations. have lots of pics of brook trout first week of july in bright colours. have never seen this to the south in maine or upstate NY. they were definitely not spawning yet
