I'm always in awe of these little intricate NP songs - melody lines and drumbeats and time signatures that don't feel like they should mesh do, and in the most surprising and happy ways. The third listen is always where it comes together for me, and the earworm is complete. I like the new wave vibe very much, and hope the rest of the album is of this quality.

They are an infinitely interesting group. Newman is a master at song writing, arranging--and a good singer too! Many of their songs break out of the mold -verse--chorus--bridge etc etc etc. taking musical twists and turns.
