There's a joy of pulling up our memories of travel while we're back in our comfort place. It's the wonder of thinking "I saw that", or "I was there!"

You are the eternal optimist, Tim. Without watching your daily videos on the other channel, one would not have known that half of Rome was under construction and closed to your camera lens. Thanks for taking us along for the ride and now sharing these reflections. Welcome home!

Very well said Tim. I have never traveled overseas but after a vacation with family it always enriches my soul to share experiences away from home. But it’s always good to return home too. It was great traveling with you and I thank you for sharing your experiences.

Yes. The unintended value of travel is renewing my appreciation of my modest abode, my home. There's no place like home. Click click. I enjoy travel, but I have no desire to travel for long periods of time. None. Two weeks any place is more than enough for me. Also, I have no desire to travel just to tick if off a list or have bragging rights of how many continents/countries I've seen. I see travel as a special treat, not something I have to endure.

Mark Twain wrote, “Travel is fatal to prejuidce, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”

Although "Agreeing" with the the " 5 " Thing's that you Spoke about, I will Continue to Travel " Vicariously " through Other People, such as Yourself. No Thank Ya,' just Not " I-n-t-o " the " Traveling " or " Exploring " at All.

Do you do VR yet??? Ya have to try it. The first two days you feel weird and then that goes away forever and you can explore all the most amazing places and do all the crazy experiences from home sweet home! Nothing like it. I have an Oculus 2 and I think everybody over 40 should have one and they should have them in all the nursing homes and hospitals because anyone could live out their dreams and learn about anything, the whole internet is in there and I love it! I go to the pyramids and swim with sharks and jump out of planes...I haven't left my house in 8 months and there's nothing wrong with me, I just like to stay home and all of "out there" is in here with me. :)

I loved to travel for biz 1x every 3-6 mos.....E-W coasts. I took vacation excursions on back to back weekends. It was both invigorating & tiring. I slept on the red eye back home. Always enjoyed home sweet home. Thanks for taking us along on your enjoyable educational vacation.

Nice talk. Home is the safe place where l can relax and contemplate all the new memories l created. I sometimes get nostalgic and long to be at those places again. I think of the sights, food, the sounds and different smells. It's good to be home but l look forward for future adventures.😊 lt's a joy for both the new and the familiar.

Thank you for another informative and thought provoking video. I just wish I could have that grounded feeling at home. Without my late husband, I am not as content at home. Maybe as I continued to downsize and purge that will change. Looking after an aging parent likely doesn't help. I know I will settle in somewhere within an hour or two of here, but my current homebase is really built for a family, not an empty nester. It is in a great location for supporting my aging parent though. Maybe I just need to start looking for a condo, duplex or garden home in the area and sale this investment. Thank you again for starting me thinking again. Blessings.

Got me thinking of Bilbo Baggins, happy to be home again in his beloved Shire after his many adventures: ... Roads go ever ever on Under cloud and under star, Yet feet that wandering have gone Turn at last to home afar. Eyes that fire and sword have seen And horror in the halls of stone Look at last on meadows green And trees and hills they long have known. (The Hobbit, Chapter 19) 😉
