I have found so many ways to re purpose chandeliers, wooden candlesticks, punch bowls, and other types of candlesticks that are broken or damaged. Chandeliers.....I take the bulbs out and glue with E6000 chipped teacups and use them like a bird feeder. Little bird feet land on the handles of the tea cup. I do the same thing with candlesticks also. Glue using E6000 glue. There is a type of concrete you can use to keep the candlesticks from falling. Just a thin layer and place the candlestick on it, let dry. Now the punch bowls are kinda more complicated. I drill two holes on one side and then 2 on the opposite side. There's a special drill bit to put holes in glass. Do it slowly. Then I stick heavy rope through the holes. I tie them up tightly. Then I put landscaping lights from the dollar tree in the middle. You can add as many as you want. Again using E6000 gluing them in. Then I purchase a shepherd's hook and hang from there. I do bring them in during the winter. Beautiful glow and it really brings out the pattern on the bowl. My neighbor hung some of the chandeliers in her tree. Birds upon birds visit and they get their tiny bellies filled. Just thought I would share.

That big round mesh needs a small round base like that gold tea light to elevate it and put a round wood cutting board on it for camenbert cheese and fruit would be a big table centerpiece for Xmas when whole family there

A couple of years ago I bought a Van Gogh print that had a metropolitan museum of art sticker on the back. I looked it up and it was worth $400 framed. I got it for $9.99. I love goodwill.

I have a painting that I took out of the trash. I love it, I am in New York City and it’s a very New York City scenic picture. If you ask me, it has some worth but I cannot figure out the signature. Would you know where I go to figure that out? There is a year next to the signature, 1971.

Back in the late 1980’s there was a home party company for selling framed fine art. I’m pretty sure that is where the bird paintings on cork in bamboo frames were from, my husband liked and bought several of those. I have seen quite a few almost identical ones in thrift shops since then. Must have been plenty of starving artist repainting those. I sold our in my booth several years ago. I’ll be on the lookout now for more.

Today is 17 Nov 2023, and today is my 70th birthday. We're going shopping today for bargains. Every year, we donate Christmas presents to the children at the Women's shelter. Don't tell them. Just looked up the little dove Corning Wear dish. Someone has it with the lid, not sure the size, on eBay for $2,500.00. Crazy. Sure it will sell for that!!! Would have to look elsewhere to see what it is listed for and what it really sells for. eBay didn’t show any sold.
