Count the petals of the flower. Five is cherry, apple, pear, blackberry, raspberry and even rose. They're all part of the rosacea family. Dogwood has four petals and is in the cornus family.

The middle eastern ashtray is an oil lamp. Doesn't look like one which could actually be used. But in that type of lamp the wick lays in the channel where they no doubt thought a cigarette would sit. Rachel is getting much more comfortable with being on camera. Very nice to see. I also love that she confidently knows she is an artist. You seem like a really great mom Danni. 🌷

The "tea cozies" are actually egg coddlers. You'll find they sell anywhere from $10 to $25 each, but average around $15, depending on the size. So depending on the price you find them for, they may be worth it, particularly if you find a pair. (though not necessary). Since you were unaware of what they were, I assume you have never had coddled eggs. I use my coddlers often and love them. They come in 2 sizes. The small fits 1 egg and the larger one will fits 2. You coat the inside with butter, crack & add the corresponding number of eggs, salt, pepper etc and put the lid on. Drop the coddler(s) into a pot of water but don't cover the lid. The ring allows you to remove from the water without being burned. Boil however long you want - for soft-boiled or hard-boiled like doing eggs in their shells. Remove from the water, open the lid and enjoy! I don't know why, but they are way better than boiling eggs in their shells! Also, because they are small, pretty and the lid fits snugly, I use a couple of the berry pattern ones on my table as preserves/jam/jelly jars at breakfast. Also wanted to say - I love that you are teaching Rachel and she is so willing to learn. Such a gift to you both. Oh and as an artist, I can say she does have an eye for art! Great eye at that! As for the chicken....she seemed a little on the hefty side so I was thinking "Chunky". (though I will admit my first thought was "Dumplings")

Rachel is a very sweet darling. I love watching her stop look and decide on art. She really is good. Artist eye. My mom and I would go out and really think we found the grail. Remember, no phone, we would get home and a week later realize we bought crap once again. We would consider a success when we didn't fight at the end of the day. Not a lot of success for us!!! Ah, the bad old days. Lol.

Rachel is learning fast! You are super encouraging and the knowledge base she's lucky to have while making her own decisions...trial and error but always learning... wonderful! The "colander" bowl is often referred to as a "Berry Bowl" and great for Strawberries or Blueberries. I do love the moment of realization that her Dinner dishes once belonged to someone else...great life lesson there. The chicken name I would suggest is "Birdie" since Rachel does love all of the birds. :) Lovely video, thanks for the share.

A tea cozy is a cover (usually made from wool (crocheted or knitted) in days of yore it would have been made from fine cotton fabric which was sometimes embellished with embroidery and lined with kapok to keep the tea warm in the pot.

Rumptof is where you take a bottle of vodka and add summer fruit and sugar in layers over the summer. then you cover with a lid and hide it in a cupboard until Christmas. i make one every year. Yum.

The dino-bird thing is an oil lamp. It is a replica of an ancient form of lighting. Oil would go into the area where the lid is and the wick would come out of the spout. You would have a metal dish under it to avoid turning your home into cinders if it spilled. That is one of the most common replications coming from Eqypt and surrounding countries. The original was used up to and past the invention of electricity and when tourism hit its heyday it was replicated for the market. Never use one that has a loose lid and if you can use a piece of wood or a strand of old school mophead as a wick. If I were to sell it in today's market, I would put a warning lable one it, "For decorative use only".
